  1. Like the realistic finishes and details.
  2. Enjoying watching your plastic surgery here. Your process on the roof is much like the way many 1:1 cars are done. Looking at the windshield opening you now know where the "mail slot" description comes from.

Great kit and endless possibilities for build style.
  4. Alway enjoyed the Bond films even if they were sort of tung in cheek. The "toys" that Bond got to use were also fun.
  5. My default paint would be a Tamiya product based on the results thru the years. As mentioned, the Clear Red, and any of their clear colors for that matter, need to be thoroughly mixed before using. Try using a stirrer like a toothpick or a small coffee type stir stick to get the pigment that settles on the bottom of the jar mixed with the clear. This will make each light coat of color actually better cover say the kit chrome lenses. This has seemed to work better for mixing than trying to shake the bottle until your wrist wants to fall off.
  6. Wow, thanks for the information. I better start setting aside some extra model monies.
  7. Great looking paint finish. The interior and engine detailing are really well done and the colors and finishes all look correct.
  8. Great looking paint and trim. What I can see of the interior it looks like is well done as well.
  9. Looks great, just needs a little shinny paint work.
  10. A little love and understanding are all they need.
  11. Really captured the look of the real car and all the finishes are cleanly done on this build.

    Uncertain T

Beautifully done replica of the original car.
  13. Chrome grill and bumpers look great. Like the interior color and finish.
  14. If you're trying to knock down the shine a little maybe a dusting of flat or semi-gloss clear would help.
  15. Great looking paint color and finish. Clean looking sedan delivery.
  16. Like the colors and finishes.
  17. The only thing really wrong with this kit is the body side trim. The problem can be seen in the picture on the front of the box art compared to a picture of an actual '57 Bel Air. If you can work with that there is no reason not to enjoy building this one.
  18. Reminds me of a saying, "You can tell the men from the boys by the size of their toys".
  19. Interesting paint color combination, great looking finishes. Like the interior details and the opening doors.
  20. Thankyou David. The engine supercharger is a replacement for the carbs that I used on a '57 Plymouth Fury.
  21. The darker body color and not having the extra stripes gives this a sinister look. Great paint finish and the body trim and badging look nice and clean. The engine detailing is very realistic looking and color correct. Like the painted steel wheels.
  22. Perfect paint color for this and the finish. Clean body trim.
  23. Great looking paint color and finish. Like the interior and engine detailing.
  24. Nice shade of blue and clean looking body chrome trim.
  25. Looks like moisture from somewhere.
