  1. Great looking Brass Era build. Realistic looking finishes.
  2. Had a mouse problem in a house I lived in many years ago. Very rural area and they would get into the laundry room. I went to do the laundry one night and there was a couple of them that had fallen into a plastic waste basket, and they couldn't get out. One of them overpowered the other and was eating him. They are really nasty when hungry.
  3. O please - please do the '68 Bel Air two door. Having owned one with the 427 and 4 - speed, to get around the insurance rates of the time, had rally wheels and factory A/C and the factory 8 track built into the bottom of the dash.
  4. Great looking paint finishes and PD markings. Like the engine detailing.
  5. Great looking paint and body work. Like the early style finishes and colors that you used.
  6. Like the louvers on the hood.
  7. The headlights and taillights add so much to the appearance.
  8. Great background story, the sort of thing that makes your model build all the more personal.
  9. A thought that may or may not apply to what happened with your paint work. Having had something along this line happen before. I have found that before removing the masking tape use a sharp #11 along the edge of the tape, basically cutting the paint between the tape and the body, may prevent this in the future.
  10. Like the realistic finishes and details.
  11. Enjoying watching your plastic surgery here. Your process on the roof is much like the way many 1:1 cars are done. Looking at the windshield opening you now know where the "mail slot" description comes from.

    1949 ford

Great kit and endless possibilities for build style.
  13. Alway enjoyed the Bond films even if they were sort of tung in cheek. The "toys" that Bond got to use were also fun.
  14. My default paint would be a Tamiya product based on the results thru the years. As mentioned, the Clear Red, and any of their clear colors for that matter, need to be thoroughly mixed before using. Try using a stirrer like a toothpick or a small coffee type stir stick to get the pigment that settles on the bottom of the jar mixed with the clear. This will make each light coat of color actually better cover say the kit chrome lenses. This has seemed to work better for mixing than trying to shake the bottle until your wrist wants to fall off.
  15. Wow, thanks for the information. I better start setting aside some extra model monies.
  16. Great looking paint finish. The interior and engine detailing are really well done and the colors and finishes all look correct.
  17. Great looking paint and trim. What I can see of the interior it looks like is well done as well.
  18. Looks great, just needs a little shinny paint work.
  19. A little love and understanding are all they need.
  20. Really captured the look of the real car and all the finishes are cleanly done on this build.

    Uncertain T

Beautifully done replica of the original car.
  22. Chrome grill and bumpers look great. Like the interior color and finish.
  23. If you're trying to knock down the shine a little maybe a dusting of flat or semi-gloss clear would help.
  24. Great looking paint color and finish. Clean looking sedan delivery.
  25. Like the colors and finishes.
