Very impressive looking builds. I also like the Dick Landy rig. The Trans Am looks great also.

For someone who professes to not knowing what they're doing this looks pretty advanced to me. I'm usually more of the "wing it" type builder. I'll enjoy seeing what all you do with this.

I like the chopped top and wide whites look on this. One of my favorite kits.

Maybe only two builds but you have to look at the level of detail and the finish on them. I followed the Ford build and watched how you go about building your models. The day 2 Plymouth is the style I like.

Beautiful looking builds as always. I like the way your builds have colors that were very popular for them at the time the 1:1 would first come to market.

$5700 seems a little steep to me even with all of the drive train work done. The Tin Worm has had it's way with the body and I'm sure the inner structure also. Still you have to wonder what could be.

I agree with those who suggest doing what ever you want with it. The only thing I might add is to consider using it to cast a few Resin versions for future projects. These cars were very dominant in drag Racing at the time and building the Melrose Missile and others sounds great. This would also give you the option of a street car also. Please post pictures of what ever you do with this.

9 Decals ? Do you prefer to not clear over your decals ? Good to wait until you're well rested before doing decals since there is a lot that can go wrong with that. A suggestion to consider on the grill emblem. You may already be doing this so forgive me if you already have a technique you prefer. I'll use a #11 blade to remove the chrome plating only in the area that the decal is going. With the decal trimmed to where there is no extra decal film place it in the grill inset with a touch of Solvaset. Dab it dry with a paper towel. After it is completely dry lightly brush a drop of Tamiya X-22 Clear, when it dries it will look like the clear plastic cover on the 1:1 emblem.

Just an idea. you're right about being easily identified. Maybe the roof from the '57 Ford wagon, that would still be in the same family. The roof has that distinct styling on top and the slanted pillar might work as the B Pillar.

I don't know how it would look but think about the roof from the Revell '56 Chevy Nomad. The sloping B Pillar and side glass with the rear wrap around might work well with the lines of the Lincoln .

Great looking little '57. With the Pro Street vibe I would pass on the door numbers, but it is your build after all. On the light bar in the grill, are you going to use the Chevrolet emblem decal ?

Very nice looking Corvette. I understand your issues with the color Yellow in general. The few that I have painted Yellow I used Tamiya White Primer and then their Yellow for the color coats. I suggest staying with their Clear as apposed to some other brand of Clear. Most colors but especially Yellow and Tamiya paints don't play well with other brands of paint.

Very nice. I like the all business look on this build. I also always thought the 1:1 was a good looking car. I had a neighbor who had a '64 Fairlane hardtop with the 271 hp 289 and a 4-speed. That car could really get up and go.

OO I know all about that one., we've been married for over 30 years and she still finds me handy to have around.

This is going to be a fun build. The Revell '69 Z-28 Camaro kit is being sold cheep at Hobby Lobby especially with the 40 % off coupon and Michael's is doing the same. I'd consider buying one of those kits and just cut off the front sub frame and add it to the '55 Chevy frame much like the 1:1.

I'm showing all these pictures to my wife. That should take off some of the heat I get about all the boxes in the basement.

Beautiful looking build. The body building and the creation of the chassis is amazing. There are so many design elements its impossible to say which is the most impressive. Personally I like the way the grill blends into the hood and then covers the back of the instruments and the gentle bend of the windshield. With a little background in the pictures this could easily be mistaken for a 1:1 from one of the top builders in the 1:1 world.

I don't think that Spoopy would be flying the Red Barons plane, just saying. Other than that it's a quite idea.

I did notice the Chevy Rallies, they're so common on the 1:1 cars that you almost forget they didn't come standard.

With the general direction of your build and the fact that you have an LS engine that my be the best way to go. The transmission tunnel can be cut away from the floor and add some scrap styrene as a spacer between the floor and the tunnel should give your the needed clearance. You have the chassis, wheels and tires already dialed in.

Great verity of subjects. I remember watching a couple of your builds here. The Ford COE I especially like. They're all very cleanly built and detailed.

The Tribal style flames are a different touch. This turned out very nice. You're right about convertibles, they really make you do a lot of extra work on the interiors.
