  1. Nice comparison, they both look great.
  2. Stop beating your self up on this, it looks great to me. I like the blue that was not that common on the 1:1 Boss cars. Most of the few I remember where the Orange color.
  3. I really like how you built this Volvo. The seat belts look perfect. Also the deep offset painted wheels give it a very aggressive look.
  4. Great looking build. Interesting to see something we wouldn't normally see on this side of the "Pond". The interior detailing is very impressive. As an aside, I had an early '80's Camaro Z28 with the Recaro seat option with the same striping in a different color. I always thought that looked good.

    1970 Firebird TA

Very nice clean looking build. I like this color combination better than the white body with blue stripe.
  6. Stunning detail on this engine, hard to tell from a 1:1.
  7. The OEM tire for the SS was a 225/65R x 15 Good Year with raised white letters. The original issued kit I built when this was first released had an issue with getting the tires inside of the body. Easy modifications to the wheel backs will cure this problem. As for ride height, just relocate the front spindles much like a real car and a little trim of the rear springs to suit what ever ride height you're after for the rear.
  8. Very clean looking build. This was one of Mopar's bolder colors. Nice to know that the kit includes the decals for the heater hoses, Id buy the kit for that alone.
  9. Great looking build. I can see you did a lot to make the trunk area look real. Great paint finish.
  10. Very clean looking. I really like the paint color and the great finish.
  11. Interesting looking drive shaft with multiple universal joints. I like the start of your paint design. Always interesting how these paint treatments evolve.
  12. Painless makes a wiring kit for that. Rewiring a car would be a very big under taking, but if you have ever been driving down the road and the wiring harness starts to go up in smoke you might at least consider it.

    '57 Chevy Bel Air

Beautiful looking Bel Air. In '56 and '57 this color combination was very popular for Chevrolet and was always my favorite. You really captured the correct color for the fabric seat inserts.

    65' IMPALA

Beautiful looking. At first I thought the finish was Black. Then viewing the later pictures the finish looks very different. What paints did you use ? Big D is going to love this. Excellent chassis and engine detailing.
  15. Very nice looking Gran Torino. The interior looks great and the paint finish and the stripes turned out well also.
  16. Great looking finish and the stripes turned out well also. The color looks good with the orange roll bar and brush guard.
  17. Great looking line up. They all have excellent paint work and are nicely detailed. I always like Ford's paint treatment on that van.
  18. Very nice looking build. Good paint and very nice interior. Makes you wonder why Studebaker didn't offer a convertible. Perfect engine up grade. A Study 289 cu in with about 10 lbs. of boost, hang on.
  19. That's a great looking Buick. Be thankful they only stole the hub caps. Kid's, a pro would be gone with the whole car.
  20. Do you recall the brand and or the type of finish coat of paint. The reason for my question is based on some unfortunate past experiences. I have had similar paint problems when using either automotive touch up sprays or a paint that is not designed for use on plastic objects.
  21. Model Master paints offers several different types of Metalizer spray paints. #1451 Aluminum Plate - # 1452 Stainless Steel - #1454 Titanium - #1459 Metalizer Sealer. After spraying any of the colors, wait for them to dry completely and then you can polish them with a soft cloth, I use a Q-Tip. Then spray the sealer since handling will leave finger prints and the finish can smear also. Tamiya offers a Bare-Metal Silver in their aircraft line it's #AS-12.
  22. That kind of reminds me of a Simca.
  23. This was and I think still is a great kit of this car. I had a new '86 Monte Carlo SS and this kit is about as close as you can get to the 1:1. A note to any builder that may not be familiar with the 1:1. The rear side windows are mounted on the outside of the body and all of the other windows are mounted from the inside of the body. The 1:1 car came to market just about the time GM started to flush mount the exterior windows on their cars. Less wind noise and maybe even less wind drag.
  24. Very smooth looking conversion. This looks like something Pontiac should have done. I like the paint combination and the wide whites give it a showroom appearance.
  25. Looks good and I like the theme of your build. As for the paint, did you use a "hot" lacquer paint ?
