Very inventive, I like the Cone Head idea. Like you I have had problems down loading photos that I took with my phone. I used to have to reduce them a couple of times to get them small enough for them to fit the sites format. What I have done now is to Crop the image rather reduce it. This worked great for me. I had a sharper image of the model and cutout a lot of the back ground that I didn't want anyway.

Beautiful build. Tastefully modified.

Looks good so far. I like the Moon Eyes decal in the quarter windows, they stay right??

That should look better than having nothing at all on the firewall. I mentioned before about the steel lines. The line pressure for a brake line can exceed 1000 PSI and in a racing application it could even be higher. The steel or "hard lines" would go from the reservoir to each wheel and the rear would have a flex line from the frame too the differential or from the frame in the general location of the wheels. Between the frame and the brake calipers there would be a flexible line going to the Calipers. On a normal passenger car this is usually a rubber line that is wrapped for strength. In an application such as the Cobra they would use a Steel Braded flex line since they will not expand under extreme pressures. The Clutch line would be the same thing with a flex line from the solidly mounted steel line to the Clutch Slave and this would also be steel braded. I know I'm a rivet counter but you do seem as though you're going for accuracy.

Ah Ha now I get it.

Very nicely done.

That Pink is sure bright !! I like the overspray on the under carriage and the wood trim on the interior is very convincing.

That's a really good looking trailer. I have a question about the axles and since you build 1:1 trailers maybe you could enlighten me on the axle count. I'm building one of the old Revell Ski Boats and it has a single axle trailer. I'm thinking that on a 1:1 build you would need a two axle trailer based on a boat that is around 20 ft. long and has a blown Hemi Chrysler engine. I also noticed the picture that shows your prototype has a two axle trailer for the Cobra. I know we're just building with plastic here but in the 1:1 world wouldn't you want a two axle trailer to support the weight and for stability??

Chassis looks great and the body sites just right. I like the full fender look, the leading edge of the front fenders seem to be at an odd angle.

Very interesting !! You got the roof to flow well into the body.

Your rebuild is coming along and looks great. I don't know if you are even worried about the Master Brake Cylinder or the Clutch Master Cylinder any longer. You didn't mention if you still had the kits instruction sheet, but I have an unbuilt Cobra kit and in looking at the instruction sheet it makes no mention of either of these cylinders.

I love it.

The radiator is a problem on these kits. The 1:1 the radiator sits just behind the cover and closer to the engine. The kit mounts it in much the same way but it sits in a very shallow notch on the frame and relies on the hoses to hold it in place. I had to glue the #%@*& part several times before it would not get knocked off when mounting the chassis to the body. -

Beautiful build. Nice and clean. Makes me want to go find a 1:1 truck to play with. -
Great looking build. I remember seeing cabs like that one also. Man if you got a girl to go on a date with you in that you must be very appealing to the ladies. In the mid '60's I had three friends that all worked at another station. They all bought Army Surplus Jeep. They painted them all orange and used to crawl around the Fire Trails in the mountains. I got to go along for the price of some beer.

Very clean looking build. The body chrome looks perfect. The silver color gives it an understated but powerful look.

I like how you're going about this build. You have a lot of personal experience to guide you. On your Minilites, I bought a wheel set from GMP years ago. They had two complete sets of wheels and tires. My intent is to use the Minilite set for an SCCA '69 Camaro. They are painted yellow and have Good Year treaded racing tires. The set also included American Torque Thrusts with gray spokes and Firestone racing tires. I don't even know if GMP is still around or if they are part of another company now. They used to have a web site www.gmpdiecast.com The part #9021 is what I had picked up. The wheels are beautiful, I hope this may help you find the wheels you're looking for. -

Great idea on the suspension. -
I remember that build. The welting looks great. This kit had very tight fitting fenders to the body, and I agree I might very well damage the paint. I will keep this in mind on any future projects that have a fitment problem. This would be an excellent way to correct that.

Very sorry for forgetting the true name for the area. We got some Starbucks coffee and sat on the steps overlooking the harbor . There were artiest, people reading, and others like us watching the Sea Plains and Ships come and go. Hope to return some day soon.
