  1. Great looking build. That would have been a Drag Strip Terror.
  2. Nice clean build. I like the idea of the power train swap. The color and wheels look perfect together. We got my wife a new '90 Cavalier Z-24, 2.8 with a 5-speed, and enjoyed it for over 100k miles. It had an exhaust note somewhat like an old Jaguar and it was never at a loss for power.
  3. Beautiful looking custom. Fords from this era really look good with these custom touches.

    37 Ford Rat Rod

Looks like a fun build. Beyond the tire rub the outer edge of the slick looks like you just did a burn out.
  5. Nice looking conversion, What did you use for the upper radiator hose?
  6. Great looking build. Convertibles are fun.
  7. Nice looking "Plain Brown Wrapper" . This reminds me of a Whiskey Hauler from an old movie . I think it was called Thunder Road or something like that. The character who was the driver of the Hot Rod hauler got to well known and ordered a new Ford sedan with the biggest engine at the time and it looked just like your model. They never did catch him.
  8. All you need now is a Daisy Duke's Jeep and Boss Hawg's El Dorado convertible .
  9. I like this a lot. I had commented about the size of the grill opening during your build. You are correct that with the bumper it now looks perfect. Perfect late '50's custom.
  10. Turned out great. Considering this is kind of a primitive kit compared to what we have to work with now, it's good to see that something this nice can still be built out of it.
  11. Great looking build. Wouldn't you just love to have that in your 1:1 garage.
  12. Beautiful build. The detailing of the engine and chassis are very realistic.
  13. Looks great. Reminds me of when this was an AMT annual. We used to use all the extras when we built them.
  14. Looks great. This is the way I like to build them also. The foil turned out perfect.
  15. Really captures the Gasser look. Considering what you had to work with you should get an "ata boy" for completion.
  16. While you already have the Revell body well underway another alternative would be the AMT '63 Corvette kit. It didn't have the straight axle, but did have many drag racing options and some nice options on the rear wheel wells. and hood. If you didn't want the split window that could be changed.
  17. He had a great body of work. Many artist had hits that he wrote.
  18. I have used Tamiya clear and Testor Wet Look both. I have not had this problem before. The only thing I can think of is if you might have sprayed a coat to heavy.
  19. That is a beautiful custom. The body flows smoothly. If someone hasn't seen the fabrication on this they can't fully appreciate the finished build. .
  20. That looks about as real as it can be. That reminds me I'd better get the snow blower serviced and running for the one or two snows we get every winter.
  21. Beautiful very clean build. I agree with David G. with the detailing of the door and trunk lines. It makes it look just that much more like the real thing. The paint looks great but if you want a little bit more gloss in the future you might try a coat or two of Tamiya TS-13 Clear.
  22. Very smooth looking custom. Winfield style paint jobs always look good on custom cruisers.
  23. Looks like a perfect reproduction in scale. What is the two letter county code on the rear license plate in the left hand corner ? If in LV. (Levenworth) and no I'm not incarcerated.

    1971 Charger

    Great looking "rollover".
  25. Great job on all the fabrication. I agree that the silver color better shows the body lines. As an after thought if you ever go this way again and still want to try an AWD setup, maybe an engine or just the dry sump oiling system could be used from a NASCAR kit. They use this system for both better lubrication and added ground clearance. Look forward to seeing how this turns out.
