  1. Yah, the Revenuers would never suspect that car was haul'n shine.
  2. I have only had to get a replacement parts from Revell one time so it's hard to say what is normal. I used their on line request and provided the codes from the kit box and the part number, explained the problem on the provided comment box. Within 72 hours I had an E-mail conformation and the new body arrived within a week. So for my personal experience this one time I was very happy with their response. One thing I either read here or else where was that these parts are removed from old stock in the where house that was set aside a long ago. In my mind that would require a great deal of time in some cases looking thru cannibalized kits looking for parts. So depending on the replacement parts requests the turnaround time would be different at different times.
  3. If you don't have a Generator in your parts stash you could use some 4.5 to 4.8 mm tubing from Plastruct and just cut to length.
  4. Well built. Like the newer Ford power.
  5. You are right about this color. It has enough flake in it to look like a "Bass Boat". I have used it several times and really like it. If you are still looking for an Orange color for you're other project and want something just a little less "in you face" you might look at Tamiya TS-92 Mt. Orange. Just a little more subdued but just as eye catching.
  6. Glad to see that you're back on this build. The interior looks outstanding.
  7. Great looking build. Just the right amount of added detail.
  8. Great build. That was one of the most popular colors at that time. Looks just right.
  9. Great weathering. The head lights and tail lights are a little unusual, but I think that's what you were looking for anyway.

    Jaguar XK SS

Very nice build, I like the hood straps.
  11. Looks interesting, I hadn't seen that Olds model before. It maybe a reissue of the old Olds Drag car that Revell had a long time ago.
  12. I really like this type of build. Great work on the bumpers. I look forward to seeing how this turns out.
  13. Lucky to have a couple of large Hobby Lobby's in the area. It does pay to check around. I found a '41 Ford Woody for $10.43 with a retail of $28.99. The same kit at the other store was $17.00. Both stores are having a close out on some older stock, but one is being aggressive on pricing where the other is only offering the usual 40% off.
  14. He should limit his morning caffeine.
  15. Looks like someone got a cheap paint job at one time. Very nice weathering. You ever watch Gas Monkey Garage ?

Beautiful build. Looks like you should be able to get in and drive off.
  17. Welcome back to the hobby. I never got around to this kit but others have said it is great. I also enjoy the subject. Check out the question section and look for vinyl roof threads. There is more ways to do a vinyl roof than there is colors. Just got to find the one you are comfortable with. I would suggest trying different styles on some spoons before you start on the kits roof.
  18. This makes perfect sense to me. Maybe a hub cap on the front wheels to match the rear, or not.
  19. I don't have a picture and I used my last set. But looking at my built model the F60x15 tires are about 1" in diameter. The L60x15s are 1 &1/8th " in diameter. Hope this helps you with what ever your trying to do. These are great tires by the way.
  20. The winner is the dually. Both look great, but which one would you want to own ?
  21. I tried to look at your web site and it said that Godaddy now has it for sale. Is there another way to access your catalog of products ?
  22. Could this somehow get "locked" at the top? I have often used this to find a part for a build as I think many others have done in the past.
  23. Beautiful looking build. The hood stripes, is the spacing getting wider toward the front or is it just the picture ?
  24. I have been silently following your build. As so many others have stated this is truly an amazing conversion. I have learned a great deal from just watching how you joined these two kits along with the little details like the vents and such. These details are often left undone since they are hard to see and usually aren't noticed by most. I look forward to the completion of the build.
  25. I have had the same problems in the past. On the "Dog hiking his leg" issue usually you can just adjust the rear suspension without dismantling the whole kit. I saw how you fought the headlights. In the past I have just painted the head light area with Flat Aluminum and a top coat of Future and it would look ok.
