  1. Put together with a very clean and plausible look. Would there be a front frame cross member ? Great looking exhaust and the color details on the driveline components.

    1957 Del Rio

Beautiful clean day 2 look. You are right this is a great kit.
  3. I think I like the Turbo nose the best. They all look to be in very good condition especially for "rust belt" cars.
  4. I had two personal experiences with Rotary engines on the street. I used to work in new car dealerships. As such I was around many different cars. One day they sold my demo so that night I just drove the trade-in as I was going out to dinner that night. It was a Mazda Cosmos with a 5-speed. I was headed north on Hwy 101 going to San Luis Obispo with light traffic. That night I got lucky because I completely ignored the speed limit and I can tell you I was amazed. It was faster than the Supra I had been driving. A couple of years later I was working at the Mazda dealership in Seaside Ca. and one of the mechanics in the shop had a Mazda pick-up that had a Rotary from the factory. He had reworked an RX-7 engine for it and it was a terror on the highway. I have always wondered why the engine never became more main stream.
  5. Tamiya XF-59 Desert Yellow maybe close. Look at some of the military paints at the hobby shop, this is where I have found many good interior colors.
  6. Looks great. You brought it back from the dead. What kind of decals are you waiting on ?

    Fiat Altered

Like the build. Hard to believe how fast these little things were in their day. It would never pass Tech. today.
  8. Looks great. Like something the old Inch Pincher crew out of Riverside California would have raced.
  9. Nice looking truck. I have one that I never finished years ago. The kit had a long bed "style side" I think they were called. I like the step side look much better.

    Rusty low 2cv

Great looking build. I like how you weathered the body and interior.
  11. Great build. I like the idea of the 24 hrs. and the weathering. As an aside on the rotary engine GM issue. GM was going to put that engine in the Chevrolet Monza when it came out. If you can find one that hasn't rusted away look at how high the transmission tunnel was in that car. That may be why it was so easy to put a v-8 in one later. Mazda did get it right after they got the seals to stop leaking oil into the combustion chamber. No low end torque but hang on once they got wound up. Again a great build.
  12. Very classy looking build. I have always liked these cars, just never got to own one. This is the next best thing.
  13. Tremendous amount of work on this build. Hard to think this is the same kit that it is based on. Looks like a car I saw in Street Rodder Magazine a couple of months ago.
  14. Looks great. I like the way you can just see the rear shackles for the leaf springs below the body.
  15. Looks super nice. I have to agree on the front fenders fitting. That was always the one hold back on this kit, Great color choice.
  16. Great color combination. All of the styling changes work together, fins and all.
  17. Great looking build. The weathering looks very realistic, must be an old Michigan commuter car.
  18. Art. I agree and mine is such a unit. I admit to some AR issues and tend to error on the side of caution. I know many are still using different types of blower motors that really shouldn't be used in this manor.
  19. While I'm not a Ford buyer, you have to appreciate the products that they have brought to market in the last few years. I think Ford would do well to bring both of these models back. They both have a good reputation and if the photos shown here are even close to what they will look like they should sell very well. I'm glad to here that they will be built in the USA were they belong. Chris mentioned the Jeep Wrangler pick up. This June we were at the Jeep Jamboree in southern Missouri, there were two prototype Wrangler pick ups on the trail drives. They looked to be based on the Unlimited (four door) chassis with just the front half of a Wrangler cab and then the rest was a pickup bed. They were both lifted and had full off road suspension modifications so trying to lift something over the side to put in the bed may require a step ladder but other than that they looked very serviceable. In standard unmodified condition I'm sure they would be much like any other truck in the market.
  20. Not sure if it would even make a difference but my concern would be that a small amount of particles would pass thru an inexpensive basic filter and contaminate the blower motor. I have used some budget filters and found residue in the dryer hose. Not a lot but enough that I changed to a more dense cut to size material that seems to have solved that problem.
  21. From the color I'd say it's time. Usually you will notice an area that starts to look like it is getting plugged up. Sometimes if it's not to bad you could rotate the filter 180 degrees and it will be good for just a little while longer. I watch to see if the over spray is not going into the filter and then just replace it.
  22. Very clean truck, love the color.
  23. Like the look of the basic good old work truck. Very clean build.
  24. Great looking build, very nice. So does this mean in Texas you would need a Hell Cat if you think you can make a run for it ?
  25. Get your self a picnic spoon and a can in the color of you choice. Let us know how it turns out.
