  1. Great looking Blazer. Your dad may be a hard act to follow.
  2. With the few that I have done, the caster usually will tell you what to use for a donor kit. They usually have modified a basic kit into a model that has not been kitted. The donor kit will give you an interior and chassis that can be easily modified to create what ever the resin caster is offering. The windows are almost always a problem if the kits "glass" is different. Some casters will include a formed windshield and or rear window. Many here have used various clear plastics with great success. I tend to use the plastic that dress shirt makers use to keep a shirt collars shape in packaging. The plastic is very thin with no distortion and easily bent to match the curvature of a window. Follow the instructions on cleaning the casting before an work begins. When sanding, and there will be some sanding, you might want to do this away from you building area, The resin dust can interfere with painting as you move thru the build. It is also a good idea to wear a small dust mask if you have any respiratory issues with dust, this stuff can be very irritating. It really doesn't take that much extra effort to use a casting and if someone has an offering that you like then you should do one and just see how much fun they can be. Hope this will help.

    '64 Dodge 330

Beautiful build. A car like this looks perfect in black.
  5. Three beautiful builds. It does take time to build at this level.

    My 3 for 2016.

They all look amazing, The interesting thing is the different body styles you built.
  7. Beautiful build. That's the way a "step" should look.
  8. The others are correct about the engine design. The reason I mentioned the intake swap is because I used the Chrysler manifold for another project several years ago and I really didn't remember that the Chrysler engine was a Hemi, I'm not as knowledgeable as so many others on the Forum when it involves Chrysler products. I had used the intake and carbs. on a '58 Plymouth build years ago and it worked perfect in that application. I thought it might help you with what you were trying to accomplish. Good luck with your search.
  9. Great color combo, different than what you usually see.
  10. I'll have to look for the scriber, The Tamiya glue has become hard to use since the applicator fell off the cap.
  11. Wow, unbelievable detailing.

    '57 Chevy

Nice looking build. Very clean interior, like the nail shifter.
  13. Great looking color. I like the way you did the chassis and engine detailing.
  14. Turned out beautifully, I had watched your engine build. Have to agree with posing in front of the garage looks great.
  15. Like the headlights. How did the kits door hinges work?
  16. Great start. The chopped top almost looks factory. Can't wait to see what comes next.
  17. Nice color. What did you use for the interior tuck n roll ?
  18. Nice chop, what's next ?
  19. Very real looking. I'll bet you could get some bikini wearers to join you in that.
  20. I like it. Makes you wonder how much the junk yard would charge you if you left at their front door.
  21. AMT made a kit of the '57 Chrysler 300c and that 413 engine had inline duel quads. The kit also has the correct air cleaners. Remember these cars had a very low hood line. The air filters made a 90 degree bend off the top of the carburetor into a large oval affair that housed the air filter. It is a very nicely done setup.
  22. Another super clean Corvette build. You can probably do these in your sleep now.
  23. Those are perfect. You always have a picture perfect build style on everything you build.
  24. Beautiful build and the decals are perfect.
  25. Looks fantastic and the back drop looks perfect.
