  1. Looks good so far. " W " valve covers on a big block head is differant.
  2. Thanks. That beats the snot out of any video game.
  3. Like this a lot. Can you tell me were the red VW in the back ground with the flared fenders can be found ? I'm looking to build a VW that I could realy use those fenders on. I'm learning a lot watching your build here.
  4. This is about the coolest thing I've seen for some time. I grewup whatching these two guys.
  5. I have had good luck on the spark plug boots with a pinted round tooth pick. I think that I use wooden tooth picks as tools almost as much as an Exacto on the work bench.
  6. You might be able to find some information if you can find the Oct. 2011 issue of Collectible Automobile Magazine. Hemming Classic Car Magazine also had a profile on an unrestored Hudson sedan not longago. While these are not the sedan delivery you are after, it may give you some good ideas on what interiors realy looked like at that time. I hope this will help somehow, I'd like to see the build on this.
  7. If you can find one , Polar Lights used to offer a Mercury Cyclone Spoiler II as a NASCAR only kit. The two kits I have are for Leeroy Yarbrough's #98 and Cale Yarborough's #21 Wood Brothers car. You would still have to convert to a "stock" car if you were wanting a street model. Would like to see this done.
  8. This is making it real easy to start on that diet that I have been meaning to start.
  9. Joe, Thanks for sharing. The quality of cars is great. I used to live in the Santa Barbara / San Luis Obispo area many years ago. Had a VW Baja Buggy that I used to crawl all over the sand dunes in. I even had an apartment for a time in Grover City, as we used to say "were the debris meets the sea".
  10. Thats great, you made me laugh. This had to be fun. Shows a great sense of humor and a creative mind.
  11. Its like Burger King, he gets to do it his way. Looks good to me.
  12. You realy got this one right. Looks just like the 1:1 El Camino. Great job.
  13. That's going to be peerty.
  14. That came out great. I like the color and the way it sits.
  15. Like it a lot. The rear stripe almost makes the rear look like it was extended aft of the rear wheel wells.
  16. Man this came out nice !! Out standing work on this.
  17. I like this "look" or style, what ever you want to call it. If I had the funds this would be in my driveway 1:1 scale.
  18. Looks like its been ridden hard and put away wet. An old horse term, but it sure fits. Like the wethering on this, good build.
  19. Nice save on this. You might even try and see if you can get your hands on the 1:1 Falcon. It looks sound , and I can't remember the last time I saw one of these.
  20. NIce build ! On your grill issue, I had a 1:1 '69 Camaro for 18 years, I bought it from the original owner. It was a standard model, nothing fancy about it. The grill was as flat silver color. The '69 Camaros could be had in so many trim leveals that it is hard to tell what was right on it. As I remember the COPO cars were the base model with all the factory hot rod parts they could throw at at. Very good detail work on this.
  21. I like your sedan idea for this.
  22. Like the stans. What era are you thinking for your build ? I have not built the AMT '40 in many years, but I do remember that it was a great kit. Always heve loved the these Fords.
  23. This is slick. Did you get to talk to the owner ? I'd like to know how he got that finish.
  24. Looks real good. How were you thinking to cut off the tutone? It might look good at the top body break or if it fits with your custom idea you could blend in a color on the raised part of the body sides. Look forward to seeing this one thru .
