    1941 Willys

Like the paint. The blue is realy interesting for something I've been thinking about. Could you share what you used ?
  5. Good lookinf build. Please keep posting pictures.
  6. A Cuda would be cool. As an aside, I read in the business section of the paper this morning abour Chrysler and Fiat. As you may know Fiat bought controling intrest in Chrysler a few years ago as they were going under. As of the first quarter of 2012, Chrysler posted greater earnings than Ford or GM. In fact Fiat lost millions in europe but posted several million in earnings and an over all profit based on Chrysler's earnings. So if it had not been for Chrysler, Fiat would have been in real trouble. Just food for thought.
  7. While I think that a lot of us would like to have this kited, It still might not make economic sense for anyone to make it. To bad, I'd realy like to play with one of these.
  8. One of my old "running buddies" bought a '60 impala in the mid '60s from the original owner. It was silver with a white side stripe. The interior was red and white houndstooth. Engine was a 348, single four barrel and a 3 speed on the colume. Very nice car until a drunken tree walked out in front of him one night. Ah youth. He was not hurt, but learned a very big lesson. The Impala went to the big parking lot in the sky.
  9. Really great looking Nova. Just my 2 cents on this hose issue. I belive that the hose on the front of the intake manifold is for the water pump bypass. The bypass hose should go from the front of the intake to the top of the water pump where the other heater hose is now mounted. As I recall the heater hose is attached to the intake manifold just to the passanger side from the top radiator hose. The other heater hose is attached to the water pump just above the lower radiator hose. Maybe you can look at a 1:1 car magazine or a shop manual to verify. Looking forward to seeing this all trimed out. SS or sleeper?

    1966 Nova Wagon

Very nice ! The roof looks better on your Nova than it did in the Revelle kit on the Nomad.
  11. Hi Travis, Ihave had good luck with a liquid pencil from Prismacolor. If you have a Hobby Lobby or an Office Depot either one would carry them. They also are made in other colors. Also have used Bare-Metal foil. Good luck
  12. Good looking build. Keep the pictures comeing.
  13. Eric, As with any paint that you may have not used before, try some scrape or spruce first to make sure that would not damage the plastic. I had a bad experiance with what I belive may be the HOK spray cans you may be looking at. I had perchased the paints at "wally world" and it turned out to be very "HOT" and ruined the body I was painting eventhough it had been primered. Good Luck
  14. Revell has a reissue '79 Camaro that make a good body to work with.
  15. Spent over 30 years of my life in california, the last 13 yrs in the Sacto. area. The differance between an Earthquake and a Tornado is: In an Earth Quake all your stuff is under the rubble in one spot. In a Tornado your stuff is in the next county. In the last Earthquake when I lived in Sacramento was when the World Series was in San Francisco. Lost almost half the water in my pool. Trust me when you see or hear a Tornado the hair on the back of your neck will standup.
  16. To good to be true, this always happens to someone else. How come I never find deals like this.
  17. I think it is unusual that the paint would still be good. Not so much from the age, if the pressure had held. From what I have heard, paint exsposed to very low temps will degrade over time. You were truely lucky.
  18. Nice save.
  19. Very nice. I have not built this kit before, but yours gets me thinking I should. I realy liked these cars when the came out, but 1. Couldn't afford one 2. Should of had a HEMI.
  20. I usually build a model the way I would have it in 1:1 scale. But I have also been fortunate to have won several trophys and even had a pucture of a '56 Chev 210 I built in another magazines " contest issue " a couple of years ago. All can make your chest puffup a bit. But most of all I just injoy building models for my self.
  21. Have gotten some of his Ignition stuff and wheels when he came to the K.C. Slamers show a few years ago. Good prices and quality products. Would buy from him again.
  22. I bought Revell's '50 Ford pickup, Got two sets of the "big" wheels and tires and an extra decale sheet. That was a "first" for me.
  23. Realy nice work. I would like to know about the '41 body. I'm guessing you used the '41 nose from the AMT woody, but the coupe almost looks like the Revell '40 coupe. Nice build.
  24. I hope so. If the model companies that we use can't make a profit you can bet that they aren't going to be able to bring anything new into the market.
  25. I remember the first "kit" that I got as a child. It was of a '32 Fored roadster, or that was what the box said. It was little more than a chunck of wood that had "sides" of the body that you would glue on and sand smooth with the body. It wasn't even as nice as this Jeepster. And we snivel about a few mold lines on your models today. This must have a great meaning to you for what ever reason, enjoy. Please post pictures if you deside to build this as it could be fun to whatch.
