  1. Thanks much guys ! Even though I have spare parts from a couple of later reissues the plan is to use all original parts , making what's needed instead of replacing them .
  2. HAH ! I've done that many times , sometimes not finding the part until weeks later ! It's always fun watching you do your thing !
  3. After being absent for more than a year I finally have one on my bench ! I picked up this Little Deuce last November with plans to restore it back to original form . Disassembly was about as expected with the only casualties being one exhaust manifold and the front axle . It took two days and a couple of trips to the purple pond to get the parts to this point . Some of the paint is being really stubborn . First order of business is to replace the broken bumper mounts . I used a part from a reissue as a pattern and traced the shape onto some plastic . After some grinding with a Dremel I used a small file to fine tune the shape of the mounts . Also some notches were filed in the ends of the frame . Here's the new bumper mounts glued in place . To be continued . . .
  4. Looks great Randal , love that paint job ! Just a little oops with the steering wheel . . . we've all done that more times than anybody will admit !
  5. At the risk of repeating everyone . . . THAT'S PRETTY !! I love that sport roof body and the '67 was the best of them all . Great job Jim !
  6. If you still need them here's the dimensions : O.D. 1.75" I.D. .882 " width .635" That diamond pattern isn't very deep and would probably disappear if the tread was sanded like most of us do .
  7. Great pics and very easy to understand Bill . I've actually been doing this for years and have never been able to explain it simply enough when asked "How To ?" . Now I can just refer them to your post , Thanks !
  8. Wow that's sharp ! Looks like finishing only "one" is a pretty good club to be in !

  19. And together with the Auto World McLapper I built a few years ago .
  20. This is an old glue bomb I was able to rebuild to almost box stock condition . The only non-original parts are the wing end pieces , the exhaust , and the screens in the cooling ducts . The orange plastic was cleaned and polished and then cleared with TS-13 . The decals are repros of the originals .
  21. XTC-3D looks like and after reading the instructions it sounds like gel-coat , a type of resin used as a smooth finished surface on fiberglass parts and molds .
  22. Nice job Carl , you've added a couple of minor details that really make it look great ! I never cared for Hemi version either and using the exhaust like you did looks good to me !
  23. Very very nicely done ! Great to see one of these built up , and done right !
  24. At Photobucket site I get a message that they are down for service , will be back soon .
