    That's nice . . . beautiful job !
  2. Any one of those would make great models to enter the contest ! Thanks to all who have stopped by to check out the contest and our site . Everybody is welcome !
  3. Absolutely beautiful ! I can remember as a kid riding around in our "brand new" '60 Phoenix convertible , loved it !
  4. Thanks Alan !
  5. Sorry for the late reply , been out of town . The '58 is the AMT kit and I used the top from the Revell '59 Impala , I narrowed it about 1/8" and reshaped the side window openings .
  6. Thanks Carl !
  7. Thanks Pat ! And a Merry Christmas to you and yours !
  8. Thanks much ! And yes those wheels are from the Paddy Wagon .
  9. Thank you very much !
  10. Thanks !
  11. Of course I always build a couple Toons every year !
  12. Not a very productive year for me , I managed to finish 3 builds in 2014 but I'm down to only 2 for 2015 . My Blue Beetle restoration : And I restored an old '58 Impala .

  14. I talked to Ira yesterday and he's doing fine . Like all of us he has other responsibilities and is taking a break from modeling for a while . I'm sure he'll be back soon .
  15. It should work just fine . You should know that white decal paper is not completely opaque and the paint color underneath shows thru to some extent . . . light colored paint is good , dark is bad (there are ways to combat this) . The same thing goes for printer ink , it's not opaque either . If you have a black or colored background printed on the decal , go around the edges with a marker after you cut out the decal . No more white edges !
  16. Looks great so far Mark , I like your attention to the small details ! I built one a few years ago and plan on doing another one with a little more detail one of these days . Here's a size comparison . The 1/4 scale Hemi next to a 1/25 57 Chrysler wagon and next to a 1/18 scale Hemi . It's a MONSTER !
  17. Definitely worth the frayed nerves and the extra effort , beautifully done !
  18. My ride home from the hospital was in this '49 Plymouth convertible , that's my Dad in his pride and joy ! The first car I really remember is this '57 Plymouth Suburban , I'm on the left .
  19. I've got the Micromark set and except for the 60 tooth blade they are all way too coarse plastic , they also are .030" thick which is more than what the old Dremel saw blades were so I rarely use even the 60 tooth blade . I purchased some of the Gyrostools and the Ultra fine is .005"thk x 120 teeth . But the Fine tooth blade works the best , .015"thk x 80 teeth . To be honest , unless you need a precise cut the Dremel cut-off wheels work better .
  20. Beautiful !
  21. I had planned on adding decals for the lights and grille along with a fancy paint job but ran out of ambition , so I painted it all white to represent a plain fiberglass body . . . sort of a low budget team .
