  1. It looks fast ! Love the look with the wheels and the stance , nice job .
  2. Beautiful van ! It looks so nice I never would have known it was a JF body if you didn't say so .
  3. Beautifully done ! You captured the look perfectly .
  4. It's the same here in Florida . The tag at the store said the same thing the ad said : in big red letters " BUY ONE GET ONE " and then off to the side is " 50% off 2nd can " Kind of a sneaky way to get you into the store .
  5. I'm not positive about this but if you are attaching files directly to your post they will always show up as a thumbnail photo , regardless of whether they are 400 x 400 or 1400 x 1400 dpi . You need to use a photo sharing site to post full size photos .

I have to agree with every thing that's been said !
  7. I decided it was time to start working on the engine so I found a nice small block in the Revell '64 Pickup kit . It looks just like the 283 I had in my El Camino , with stamped valve covers , a 4 bbl intake and a 4 speed trans . I'm making my own headers out of .062 solder , which scales to 1 5/8 diameter . If you ever buy headers made for a '60 Chevy , they are made to really hug the engine and then they dump to the outside of the X - frame where they hook up to the stock exhaust . It took two trys but I finally have a set that I think will be okay once they are cleaned up and painted . I have flanges made but they aren't installed right now . The orange paint was done quick just to take some pictures .
  8. Great looking build as usual ! Beautiful ( and fancy ) paint job and I really like the interior !
  9. Before you throw that old printer in the trash you might want to look inside . Both these belts came out of my old Lexmark , more than enough for a couple dozen blower drives ! Click on the photo for a closer look !
  10. That is soooo nice ! The trailer came out great and the details are excellent ! I really like the hitch assembly .
  11. In case you haven't heard , it was announced today that the #43 will be all Petty Blue for 24 races this season !
  12. That's probably what happened . If you've been using it for a few days it has evaporated . I lived in Phoenix for awhile and it can happen !
  13. Harry , Dennis has more of these builds posted in the Trucks section . Check 'em out !
  14. You've been SLIMED ! ! Seriously , I've never seen it before . Must be some kind of chemical reaction , maybe the paint ?
  15. Great looking model of one of the best looking Rivieras ever !
  16. The engine looks great , glad you added the brackets to keep everybody happy ! I love Edsels too so I'll be following along . Why wait 'till summer to visit Florida ? The weather's great right now !
  17. I always liked that Sandbagger artwork ! Here's one I'd never seen before 'till a few days ago . . .
  18. Great , I'm glad you're back on this build ! I like what you've done to the shape of the body and the new paint job , and the engine and wheels are icing on the cake !
  19. I passed you by yesterday because of the thumbnails , sorry . I'm glad I came back to take a look at it , it's very very nice ! I really like the paint and your engine details are great ! It looks a heck of a lot better than Stacey David's .
  20. Greg , I partially agree with you but I don't think the model companies would do this for reasons already stated . But with what's available in resin and some kit bashing we can build it ourselves . No , it won't be 100 % correct under the skin but I don't think any build like this is . I'm in the middle of such a build now , and while I'd like to be as accurate as possible , I know it's not . I agree with those you want a "kit" to be accurate but in this case : " If it walks like a duck . . ."
  21. I have about 3 dozen of the M2 machines . I saw them on sale one day in W-M and bought one of each , then I went on line and bought some more ! I may have overdone it but they are very nice little diecast .
  22. Yes , it works great ! It does need a clear coat .
