Well done Brian ! The Chaparral's were among the best looking race cars at that time and we definitely need a new kit ! I'd love to find one of these Aurora kits as they were the best detailed available .

I never cared much for this year and body style but something you did has changed my opinion , I really like it ! Very well done !

I tried some and it doesn't melt the styrene at all , like Bill said it probably works for some things but not what we use it for . The narrowest Chartpak Tape available is 1/16" , you could buy it wider but I'm not sure how you would cut it . I can tell you that it will bend for gradual curves but nothing drastic , if you want small radius bends then buy the Crepe Chartpak Tape , the crepe tape bends very easily and stays put ! Only downside is it's thickness and it doesn't have a smooth finish , it's cheap enough you can buy a roll and test it yourself . Here's a link to Amazon .
