  1. Love those old Mercs ! Thanks for sharing !
  2. Great looking Beetle James , I like the pink and that you painted the rubber seals . . . Great Job ! One suggestion is to find some small diameter wire and make your own antenna , that monster one really looks out of place .
  3. I've been building one of these in my head for quite some time and am always looking for new ideas , I really like what you're doing with your Green Hornet . Please continue !!!
  4. Really really nice Joseph ! Back in the 60's I had a Lola GT slot car and it was always my favorite , just love that design .
  5. Beautiful Mustang Tommy , that color and the vinyl top good great together !
  6. WOW that's nice ! Exceptional detailing and just overall a great job !
  7. Beautifully done Nick ! Not really my style but I can appreciate the work involved , great job !
  8. Thanks Mario , glad to be of service ! Thanks Larry !
  9. That's a neat looking plane , well done ! I can't imagine using photo etch on anything that small , that's just crazy !
  10. I didn't actually remember the image but I knew that Car Model covered all of the ICMA contests back then so I started looking thru 1972 issues and finally found it in the March 1973 issue . I tried that cobweb paint a couple times on some slot cars and it worked pretty good , but I never could get the Swirladelic paint to work right . Tim hope you don't mind me posting this . . . I also scanned that article for another modeler a few years ago , it explains both the cobwebbing and the Swirladelic paint . https://public.fotki.com/TooOld/models/misc-/magazine-articles/swirladelic-paint/
  11. Nice wheels Jens ! Really like those Pontiac Rally II wheels and the dragster fronts !
  12. Absolutely beautiful work Tim ! It's a shame about the judges , your fabrication and detailing deserved much more recognition than it received . I looked thru my old CM magazines and found one pic of your model , it sure looks better in color !
  13. Beautiful work Bob , I love all of these kits and can't wait to see more of yours ! Your paint is so smooth , I'm guessing you used an airbrush ?
  14. You're welcome Joe . They do turn up occasionally on ebay . Thanks Carl , yes I did ! Thanks David !
  15. Lookin' good Jim ! I like the spring in front of the axle , it'll look so much cleaner that way . Very interested in what you do for a windshield frame , I tried soldering a brass one a few years ago with some success but not great .
  16. Thanks , it looks just fine the way you've done it .
  17. Thanks ! Never seen the movie but enjoyed building this . Thanks much Ray ! Thanks Mike ! It's a kit that was sold as a "toy" in toy stores not as a model so not many survived .
  18. One of the nicest builds I've ever seen of the Boot Hill Express , for a one month build you did a superb job ! BTW - those fronts are the same since the very first issue .
  19. Wow that's beautiful !! How the heck did you do the rubber seals around the windshield ?
  20. Beautiful work Mathias , that paint color is gorgeous !
  21. This is gonna be cool looking ! That engine details nicely , did you do any sanding on the printed part before painting ?
  22. Looks great so far Lee , really like that you're using a Slant 6 for power ! Are those wheels included in the kit ? Which Kit ?
  23. Thanks very much Bob ! The kit is very very rare and hard to find , I was lucky to stumble across this one .
  24. Thanks Joe , it was . Also nice to not spend 2 or 3 months on a build .
