Thanks Justin ! Thanks Helmut ! Only real issue is fitting the interior/chassis into the body , there is interference between the dash and a locating block molded inside the body . I ended up grinding part of the block away but in hindsite maybe the interior could be fit into the body first then the chassis fit separately .

  3. Atlantis replied to my email about the "short shot" parts in my kits almost immediately and shipped new parts to me the same day , great service !

  8. Great paint and a beautiful build ! That Cutlass top really finishes it off !
  9. Never heard of that kind of paint but the results look good to me , the rust is very realistic . Cool looking model by the way !

Thanks very much Sonny ! I masked the body and sprayed Tamiya Rubber Black , then cut thin strips of foil for the molding . It worked fairly well but did need some touch-up with a fine brush and some Molotow .

Thanks Rich ! Thanks Bruce ! I wanted something close to the original Bronze Yellow color . Thank you Trevor ! I'm not a big fan of the show car polished finish either , most of my models are street driven cars .

This the Aoshima MGB kit built using the C1 Models resin trans kit . Basically built out of the box , only things added are the license plate and a rubber gasket under the fuel cap . It's painted Tamiya Brilliant Orange , not super shiny but I kinda like it . Only thing I missed was the right side wiper should have been moved inward 1/4 inch , didn't notice that until it was too late . Thanks for looking , all comments welcome .
  16. Nostalgia at it's best , a real garage built dragster ! Great work !
  17. Thanks much Carl and Dann ! Haven't had much bench time lately but have been working on all the little details , lights bumpers wheels etc . . . Quit taking photos since it seems to be a waste of time to post anything . I'm hoping to have it finished by next week and will post a couple photos under glass .
  18. Awesome job !! I've seen the resin bodies for sale occasionally but still haven't bought one . How was the casting , did it need a lot of work ?
  19. Absolutely gorgeous in black ! Great job !
  20. That Snow White Pearl is gorgeous , Great job !
  21. Love those colors , super nice job Curtis !! I've got to build mine one of these days .
  22. Great Mach I Ken , love that Grabber Green ! It's probably an illusion from the photos but it looks like the front tires are larger than the rear !?!?
  23. Not sure what you mean by "handling" , I've been using sharpies for years and never had an issue with it rubbing off . Of course I've never picked up a model and rubbed the lights with my finger to test it .
  24. Lots of super nice detailing on the interior and the exterior trim , especially the emblems and taillights ! Sharp looking convertible !
  25. Well done Bob ! Nicely detailed and I really like the silver frame . . . and NO foil !
