  1. Excellent work with all of your mods Rusty , raising the rear quarter is the best solution to this major complaint ! I agree that removing the wings from the bumpers make a much cleaner look , and the taillight mod is a simple no-brainer that makes a HUGE difference !
  2. Great displays Rex ! I spy a J-Car near the top of the left case . . . nice ! And a belated welcome to the Sunshine State !
  3. Thanks Ray , glad you like it ! It's not perfect but working so quickly I never expected it to be . Here's the finished interior .
  4. Thanks much guys ! Hoping to get the interior finished this coming week and post some pics , then I can start prepping the body for paint .
  5. Thanks Carl ! Started on the interior with some paint and embossing powder for the carpeting . There's a few small parts that need painting and I need to finish the dash and detail the sides . I made my own rub strips for the cargo area using flat stock and half round strip . They turned out better than I expected , should be interesting gluing them in place .
  6. For the last month I've been watching for a set and finally found some . The seller's listing was wrong saying they were Gold Lettered tires so I messaged him and he confirmed they were the Deluxe Champions . They were in my mailbox yesterday !
  7. Very nicely done , love the stance you've achieved ! Which El Camino kit has those wheels ?
  8. Well done !! I met him at Daytona one year walking thru the garage area , great guy .
  9. Very Kewl ! Great job and I think you nailed the look !

    '67 Cougar

Great job an a beautiful Cougar , always been one of my favorites and I like your color choice ! I'm planning a similar build in the future , any hiccups using the Mustang as a donor ?
  11. Man that's nice ! Beautiful color and excellent trim work !
  12. Another great body style from the mid 60's , I'm sure some will nit-pick at the body in this kit but I like it ! Thanks for the photos !
  13. Looks like a really nice kit , thanks for posting photos of the parts !
  14. That Daytona Yellow is gonna look sharp ! I like that Revell tooled separate parts for the taillight surrounds and the front grille piece , nice .
  15. Well done Dave , it's not goofy it's just different . . . I like it ! I agree that gold paint looks great and I also like that purple too , not surprised you had to decant it . Rustoleum has the worst nozzles ever so I avoid there paint whenever possible .
  16. Thanks Ray ! Spent the weekend working on the chassis . From everything I can find it looks like MGB's had their chassis painted all black , very boring so this will be a little different . I started by patching the holes left by grinding on the chassis plate . Then it was sprayed with red oxide primer , masked and sprayed with gloss black . The suspension parts were also sprayed gloss black . The chassis was assembled out of the box and just picked out some details with paint . The front suspension is assembled but won't be glued to the chassis until later . Here's the finished chassis with the front suspension in place for the photos .
  17. It turned out beautiful John , nice clean look and in my favorite color too ! Appears the hood clearance issues were resolved , congrats .
  18. Great save Tim , the color and your trim work are beautiful ! AMC really did make some great looking body styles back then .
  19. Beautiful Impala John , love that color ! Looks like you managed the foil issue just fine . Too bad we have to deal with such things , just remember we're all going through the same thing . Like everything else I suppose with some practice it will get better .
  20. Superb collection Bob ! It's really nice to see some one building these early examples of true classics , well done ! I just glanced at your posted topics and there's a bunch of great stuff there .
  21. Thanks David ! I didn't come up with that idea , I saw it on line .
  22. Thanks Daniel ! All of the MGB photos I can find online show the front being higher than the rear , I know very little about these cars but it must be the way they were designed . Looks good like that but my personal taste is for the front to be lower .
  23. I saw this done in a video on youtube and it seemed easy enough so I decided to lower the front ride height a little using 1mm strip . Here's a before and after . And a photo with the front lowered .
  24. That's a real beauty Perry ! Hard to believe there's no kit of such a beautiful sports car , I'd sure buy one !
