  1. These original kits just have a cool factor missing in the new ones , great to see another one going together !
  2. Beautiful interior Steve , that color looks perfect ! The addition of the "Buddy Seat" really makes it stand out , along with your dash . . . love how you did the bezels !
  3. Thanks Chaz ! Thanks David ! Thanks much David !
  4. You're off to a great start , the red paint looks great !
  5. I've already commented how much I like the finished build but I never actually looked at your wip until now . My apologies , you explain the process clearly and it's very easy to see the work you put into combining all those spare parts . . . Well Done !
  6. I think it's amazing that you took those blocks of plastic they called the suspension and made them look like a real C4 suspension , Great job Jim ! And the time you spent spraying spoons is gonna pay off , that color looks awesome !
  7. Yes I can schedule a pickup and before I leave at 6am Monday morning I place my packages on my open porch in full view from the street and unprotected from the morning thunderstorms we have here almost daily . Then sometime around 2 or 3pm the postal carrier will pick them up , if they're still there . It would be nice but not everyone can take advantage of this service .
  8. Now that you've all seen the parts how about the completed interior ? I sprayed some more semi-gloss on the seats and couldn't resist putting it all together for some more pics !
  9. Thanks carl! Thanks Jim ! Thanks Bob !
  10. Yep . This being my first attempt at something like this was a learning curve and I'm really looking forward to doing another one !
  11. Nice !!
  12. When I sell on Ebay I always end the auctions on Friday night . If you pay right away I print a label on Saturday morning and plan on taking to the Post Office on Monday , that's only three days . If I sold multiple items and one buyer doesn't pay until Monday or Tuesday , then I take them all to the Post Office on Wednesday . . . your item just sat for five days . If I have several packages to go on Monday I'll do that but if only one or two it has to wait . Sorry but don't blame me for only wanting to make one trip to the PO , it has nothing to do with waiting for the payment to clear .
  13. Long time forum member and my friend Ron Savoie (aka FordRodnKustom) passed on July 14th . Ron was an avid car enthusiast and modeler , contributing to this forum and also was an Admin on Drastic Plastics and Trak . He is survived by his wife , family , and many many friends . God Speed my friend . http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/profile/2022-fordrodnkustom/
  14. Thanks Steve , definitely learned a lot doing it this way ! If I could do it again I'm sure it would be better .
  15. Thanks Mike !
  16. Thanks David !
  17. I really like the look of those Minilites on the Camaro , great job !
  18. The engine detailing and your black paint look great ! And I really like the Keystones on this car !
  19. Spent the last couple of weeks or so working on the interior , compared to this painting the chassis was a piece of cake ! My seat decals actually went on with no problems at all , much easier than expected , it was foiling the piping that I struggled with . Mainly because of the current issue with BMF , but I finally was able to piece it together with remnants from an old sheet . I figured spraying the door panels and seats with Dullcote would ruin the foil so I sprayed them with a Semi-Gloss clear , they still have too much shine so I may spray another coat . Other than that I'm happy with how the interior is looking . Along with using embossing powder for the carpet I made a heel pad using a technique by an unknown modeler that was posted by Steve Guthmiller .
  20. Wow that's sharp ! Really like the orange paint with the subdued chrome/black .
  21. Now that's tiny ! Looks pretty neat the way it's made and looks like it goes together very easily . At that size I've got room to build a whole little town !
  22. Thanks ! He has a few that I'm interested in , plus he has engine compartment decals !
  23. Another beautiful Cobra and I love the Metallic Orange ! Never been a fan of huge wheels but those look fine to me , in fact I think 16" or 17" wheels look better on a Cobra than 15" wheels as long as the tires still have some sidewall .
  24. Very cool idea and great execution ! Looks like it could have been on a 60's magazine cover !
