  1. Very nicely done and great colors !
  2. Still not getting much bench time but the Vermillion Red paint arrived Wednesday so I made some time , and since the chassis was still sitting in front of me I decided to paint it first . Nothing fancy , no extra detailing , it's all done with spray cans . I did use some tape for the fuel tank straps . Plan on starting the interior next week !
  3. The bezels and the trim you've added make a big difference , good call !
  4. Interesting that you used Vallejo Plastic Putty . I've been told that it's very thin , dries to a rubbery consistency , and is not sandable . What do you think ?
  5. Sharp color , what is it ?
  6. HAH ! Been there done that .
  7. This one just has that "look" we all love ! Really great work Bernard !
  8. Soooo much better than what's in the box , congrats on building a great looking model !
  9. I've got one of these kits ready to be started and am really glad to see yours finished , it looks great ! For some strange reason I just think these cars look cool .
  10. I love Chaparrals and yours is absolutely gorgeous ! Replacing the screen and stacks was well worth the extra effort , and those Gold Line tires look great !
  11. I've done enough of this kind of build to know that there's always a surprise during final assembly so I'm pre-fitting everything on this one , everything you see on the chassis is assembled with Tacky glue which is easily cleaned before paint . The engine isn't complete only what can be seen from the bottom , and if you look closely you can see where I've drilled and pinned the front sub-frame with 1/16" rod . The biggest issue was reshaping the exhaust to fit the new chassis , but after some hair pulling it's done . I've already assembled and disassembled both the chassis and the interior several times and fit them into the body . . . it all fits every time so I'm ready to start painting !
  12. Beautiful work Michael ! Love that 409 and your interior looks great , this is going to be one fine looking '62 !
  13. Thanks Tyler ! The detailing isn't me it was all in the casting .
  14. Thanks Bob ! I started with that name but ended up changing it .
  15. Thanks Ray ! Not for everybody but a great slump buster !
  16. Oh yeah that's cool looking !

  18. Thanks David , that's a great looking motor ! It was kind of rare in the Phoenix but it sure was popular in the Polara , can't wait to see yours .
  19. Thanks Mark !
  20. Thanks John I appreciate that !
  21. Absolutely my favorite Buick body style and yours is absolutely gorgeous !
  22. Very well done !! I just love seeing custom fab and body work being done and you've got a great eye ! Best way to do it , sometimes measuring everything doesn't look as good as just eyeballing it .
  23. I have that pic saved and was looking at it yesterday , definitely looks right ! Thanks JC !
