I've been looking around for a large scale kit to build. I tried a couple 1/16 kits, but quickly learned that they needed a lot of added detail to make them more realistic. I've seen 1/20 kits by Lindberg that are very interesting subject matter. The Syclone and Dodge Stealth caught my attention. Are these decent kits? They would have to be more modern tooling that the large kits that I've tried because of when the vehicles were being made. Anyone build any of the 1/20 Lindberg kits and care to share pics? Thanks for any and all help.....

Does anyone know if the Street Fury kit can be combined with the "Christine" kit to make a full-detail kustom?

Question about frames used for hot rods...

Cool, Thanks for the additional input guys! I've decided to use the flathead in a further-along project (which should be done pretty soon....) but I have other engines I could add to this project...... -
What are you guys' opinions on all the progress being made toward commercial space flight? Would you take a jet that would carry you into Space? With all that's going on in this field, it won't be long before passengers will be able to do just that.....

I live about a mile from a small airport that houses small Cessna-type planes..... The Marines use it for touch and go operations with the Osprey aircraft. I get to see them at least twice a month, and I see at least one personal craft a day when the weather is nice.... I won't dare call the Osprey a "plane", it's a VTOL Aircraft..... -
Question about frames used for hot rods...
JollySipper replied to JollySipper's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Thanks, Alan and Bill..... Reading the thread at the link, it seems it would be perfectly acceptable to use a '34 frame, though not a popular choice. I'll be able to channel the body over the '34 rails much easier than the '32 frame. Regarding proportions, it is gonna need taller tires from looking at the pics..... that would help balance the tall roof better. -
Question about frames used for hot rods...

Here's what I have so far.... Monogram Model A body, '49 Ford engine with the tail shaft cut off of the transmission, '34 Ford chassis. Still have to figure out a floor and exhaust, I have pretty much everything else....... What do you guys think, is this a viable project? I'm not a hot rod builder usually, so I'm not 100% that I'm going about this right. -
Kinda like most of my posts, huh? It was far-fetched and artsy, that's what I liked about it most.......

Cool, Thanks Steve, and you guys....... The computer seems to run smoother and be a little faster after the MSRT runs, so I've had no reason to think something may be amiss.

Question about frames used for hot rods...
JollySipper replied to JollySipper's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Thanks for the replies, Guys! Glenn, that's basicly what I'm doing is scrounging parts for this build..... I'll be putting a Model A body on it if all goes well. -
I have the frame from the '34 Ford pickup. I was wondering how likely is it that a hot rod would have been built on such a frame....... I have a Deuce chassis also, but I'm liking the '34 chassis better. I was wanting to use the front suspension from the deuce on the '34 frame, and use the truck's banjo rear. What are the chances that this could have been done back in the day? Thanks for any help.....

What’s your favorite television show

Nobody has mentioned "Just Shoot Me" or "News Radio", the latter had the best cast of any sitcom ever..... I used to like a few cartoons, too. Those were "Chowder", "Flapjack", and "Cowboy Bebop".......... -

Hey, Greg man... Next time you have to wet sand any orange peel, you might want to try to polish back out what you sanded. That's usually what I would do. I use Formula 1 'Scratch Out'......... Unless you've sanded through somewhere, there might not be a need for more paint. -

Hey, Snake man... Seems you can do that without an account. Just pulled up the completed auction, it went for $61..... Pretty good deal, I think. https://www.ebay.com/itm/313567975879?hash=item49021b99c7%3Ag%3Ax8kAAOSwkOlgyelS&nma=true&si=gBjBTA4FnaM3OgtsrYjsLVSMqYA%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 -
