  1. I do primer, paint, and clear all in one day. I like to do it all while I'm "in the groove" so to speak......... you do want to wait about 3 or 4 days to polish the clear, tho..... These paint jobs aren't polished, once you get the hang of the spray pattern it's almost impossible to get orange peel and such....
  2. Thanks.... the speed parts are in the kit, the one with the yellow truck on the box.....
  3. Roger and I had the same idea for skirts........ he was cool enough to make a pair and send them to me..... best forum!
  4. The Revellogram '37 Ford coupe has a nice IFS setup........
  5. Howz about this one?
  6. From what I've been able to find as far as online info, the Countach seems to have been made with the option to make it motorized, where the Porsche is based on an enthusiast series model.... I guess that means the 959 would be the more accurate and detailed one.......
  7. I think these will do! It's the lenses from a '61 Impala..... As soon as I get some primer, I can begin to make some real progress.......
  8. TOOL is on Napster now....... something I thought I would never see. They have a new single out called "Fear Inoculum" from an upcoming album by the same name........ It sounds pretty good....
  9. That's pretty cool of you, Tom! The more I looked at the mock-up tho, the more I thought the taillights were too large. James Hetfield did the same treatment with this pickup, but the lights look much smaller on his. What do you guys think about maybe using these instead?
  10. Cool, Thanks guys! I'm trying out the idea of working the taillight pods from a '57 Del Rio into the rear fenders..... I think it's gonna look pretty good.
  11. I've removed the mold seams..... there were a bunch on the cab and hood. Also working on smoothing some stuff out..........
  12. I have a birthday coming up, and would like to get my first large scale auto kit....... There are two kits in particular that I would be interested in. One is the 1/16 Porsche 959, the other is the 1/16 Lamborghini Countach LP500S. They are both from Fujimi.......... Anyone have pics of one or both of these kits, reviews, or any opinions regarding them? If you do, please share.........
  13. So Microsoft is doing away with Win7........ I currently am using a Win7 Dell desktop computer. I have the option in my control panel thingey for "windows anytime upgrade". Would this be free to download, or is there a charge for it? It was offered for free a while back. Thanks for any help and discussion.....
  14. Porsche 906.... I believe the only plastic of this car is an old Bandai/Entex kit that's always out of my price range....
  15. I have a Bone Shaker done up as a Joker vehicle in this Dark Knight set.....
  16. Everyone here likes "Hot Wheels" so let's show some of your favorites....... I like the one called "Pony Up" and Another one called "Rodger Dodger" I have a video game which features both of these.... You get to drive them! What's cooler than that?
  17. You may could chrome the entire piece like you mentioned, then clear the chrome with their respective recommended clears, then do the body color part....... I would think the chrome's clear coat would be tougher and less likely to lift than the bare chrome......
  18. All you need is the DupliColor code in column "E" to order any of these colors from your local auto parts store. I've ordered from Advance before to get a color they didn't have in stock...
  19. I LIKE that! Of course, I like anything funky and unusual........ Too bad they had to crash one of them. Didn't the Diablo have that same rear arch?
  20. I read a story once about this kid who used to go to school and tell everyone that Jay was his uncle, and the other kids gave him a hard time about it. Leno found out about the kid and gave him a ride to school in a Countach.....
  21. That looks really good, man..........
  22. I built a small box to bring the buckets up some....... seats from an '09 Challenger..... I'm gonna try to use the Challenger's door panels also....
  23. Thanks, fellas.... I'm thinking of putting lakes pipes along the bed..... I would love to paint this in MetalCast purple, give it a "candy" look........
  24. Hey, fellas! So I've been working on this for a couple days...... It's the Revell '50 F1 that everyone knows so well. Going with a tail-draggin' stance and a few mild custom touches..... Wheels from the '58 Vette and I think the tires are from the '60 Starliner.... still need to attend to the mold seams and attachment points on the body parts..... Not sure on the color, but I do want to use the scallop decals that this kit comes with..... The basis of the engine is done..... Comments are more than welcome, Thanks.....
  25. Using fast drying paints helps to lessen the window where the paint is tacky, so if you get dust on the surface it is easy to remove before the next coat.........
