Had half a New York strip and a couple premade frozen stuffed potato skins......... I love beef, but I only eat steak about twice a month. The potatoes are from Farmrich, and have cheddar and bacon on 'em. Some Rocky Road icecream for afterwards..........

So, we have a water main access beside my apt building...... Some kind of main valve. It's been uncovered for the longest time, until one of the tenants complained that it was a hazard. Our maintenance guy in his infinite wisdom thought he could just put a cover on it and all be well....... Here's what he did......... It looks like a legitimate fix at first. The hole is covered, all is well........ or is it? The screws you see don't go into anything! If someone were to trip over this and flip that lid, they would end up impaled on those screws! It's more of a hazard now than it was before he 'fixed' it.........

We have these little fellows to deal with......... The Velvet Ant, also known as a Cow Ant. They've been known to bring down full grown large animals, hence the name. They don't sting with a stinger, they BITE! Look at the jaws on them......... This isn't my picture, I borrowed it from the web......
