Positions of the Farmer Sutra include the tractor factor and the acre shaker..........

More progress on the chassis! There's still a few small parts to go, but I kinda needed to mount the engine to make it easier to handle...... I've already made a couple mistakes, I'll just have to try to catch things early enough to fix them.......

Canada is pretty much just like the US, only more polite!

Saw at the Subaru Dealer
JollySipper replied to Jim B's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I really enjoy seeing this brand of car, but they kind of started getting away from themselves around the e46 or so..... One of my favorite cars ever would be an e38 7 series! -
What Did You Have for Dinner?
JollySipper replied to StevenGuthmiller's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
You're probably aware of this, 'pulled pork' in the 'South is called 'barbecue'........... Barbecue is a verb most everywhere else! There's a show on PBS that is this one guy going around trying all the BBQ restaurants in NC.......... -

Got some good news regarding my wrist! They don't see where I'll need surgery....... Last time I went they were saying a 50/50 chance that I would. So, in another four weeks they'll remove the cast and set me up with a splint.......

Flu symptoms is what I evidently avoided by taking an Alka Seltzer after being in the ER a few weeks back............ (I won't leave you with 'ago'...........)

JollySipper replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Went to an appointment in a larger town...... Saw a Ford GT (the 20 year old one) pulling into a fast food joint. Yellow with black stripes...... -

Guys, I have found a plastic axle from an old AMT kit, maybe the Gas Man '49 Ford? Anyways, progress is being made, hopefully I can post what I have done later today! I was just wanting to build this with all it's original pieces.......

AMT Studebaker Avanti 3-1
JollySipper replied to PatW's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Kinda like the real car? LoL! I always liked the Avanti...... -
One would have to think that your engine ran extra cool that day.........

Thanks for the advice, guys....... Most likely I'll just use a scrap piece of sprue or something to mount the wheels......... There is a decal sheet, at least in this issue! More than likely I won't use them though........
-
Just a little more progress, fellas........ The frame was primed and painted, and once that dried I dry-brushed a bit of silver all over it. Also got the basic engine painted! I'm having to kinda hold off on putting the front suspension together, as I'm missing the little metal spindle posts that hold on the front wheels........ Also I am in need of the long metal axle for the rear. Does anyone have these that they might not need? Here's a pic of the part for the front wheels....... Anyways, that's what I have done today.......

It could be that he doesn't have that 'home field advantage' out on a walk.....
-
Yea, he kinda knows that he screwed up........ You can't really punish them after the fact, though. They more less need to be caught in the act. You can see he's a little ashamed in the pic!

How about I show you guys what my dog DID today...... I had to leave him at home alone for just a couple hours. I didn't want him to be in his crate the whole time, so I closed him up in my bedroom instead. Guess I'm gonna have to buy a door now! What can you do, though? Funny thing is, I've been either crating or putting him in the room so he doesn't chew any like, wires and such. He didn't bother Anything else! Just destroyed the door to get out and nothing else..............
-
I always look forward to your input, Carl! Wouldn't be the same without ya'........... I have made some progress on this! The basic engine and transmission are primed and ready for their flat green paint.... Also, I've been working on the frame and suspension bits. You can see the translucent plastic that was under the chrome......... Neither suspension is in place right now, just mocked up for the pic. That's where I'm at today, hopefully more progress in a few days..........
