I learned about this awesome lady today.......... She was a test pilot during WWII, along with other accomplishments. I figured you history buffs would enjoy this short read! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Micky_Axton

Land the smallest fish, and tell the largest tale..........

That's exactly how it went here! This newest management only cares about your rent being paid. They make a bunch of arbitrary rules that they don't even enforce, and when you try to complain to them, they say they only "manage" these properties, they don't "own" them, so I guess they aren't responsible for what goes on here.....

I've been in this one apartment for going on 17 years, I've seen a lot of folks come and go......... Some now I wish would just gooooooooo....
-
Well, it looks like I may have to be moving soon.......... Not sure I should call it an 'irk', because even though I'm old enough that I dislike change, THIS change will be pretty much welcomed. It's getting to where I don't even want to go outside........ Neighbor kids screaming, nosy adults causing a bunch of ghetto drama, dogs everywhere....... Just need quieter surroundings.

To get a laugh out of someone, ask them 'What were you eating under there?' and when they say 'Under where?', then you can ask them why they were eating underwear..........

What Did You See In Your Yard Today?
JollySipper replied to Tim W. SoCal's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Saw the first of probably many snakes that I'll see this year today.......... A King Snake, about four feet long. I just left it alone, as they eat the lesser snakes and rats that live in the swamp/creek behind me here......... First snake for Emmett, he was curious, but not afraid! -
That's a sharp truck! and it being a Toyota should last forever........... There was a story going around online of a guy who put a million miles on one not too long ago.....

I have this paint that I used on these seats that's a good color to replicate leather..... It's from Krylon, in their Short Cuts line. The color is 'Espresso'..... There will be other answers, and so hopefully more options!

'Dollars and Sense' is one of the many educational songs from the School House Rock series............

What did you see on the road today?

That's what Salvador Dali had as a pet............... -
Yep, there's good and bad in all of them! Here's a thread giving Monogram kits from the '80s some love......... and One manufacturer can vary greatly from one kit to the next! Fujimi has a kit of the BMW M635CSi that's an 'Enthusiast' series kit. It has likely 250 parts or more....... On the other hand, Fujimi's kit of the BMW e30 M3 couldn't be more simple.... A juxtaposition of sorts!

Sounds like a really nice car............ Would you happen to have any pics? I really like these cars......... -
It was waiting on you to stir up dinner, in the form of maybe a mole or lizard! We have a hawk pair that live in the woods behind me, Red Tails, they screech something fierce....

Months and how many days they have are easily remembered by this little rhyme, "30 days hath September, April, June, and November" with the others easy to figure out from there.......

'Pedal to the metal' just took on a new meaning, as they probably heard rotor grinding noise!

Favourite Hubcaps
JollySipper replied to Falcon Ranchero's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Plymouth had some good things going on in the '60s as far as wheel covers..... These look pretty snazzy to me, and they had similar covers across several models..... and I've always liked the 'all business' look of Plymouth's dogdish hub caps on a set of black steelies....... -
Who wants to do a job all week just to go home and do the same work in the evenings/weekends? They say you can tell someone is skilled at a task by how their own things go neglected...... A good painter's house always needs painted, a good mechanic's own stuff always needs repair, etc..........
-
If I'm not mistaken, these little cars have the 3 series suspension and engine! Should handle well with plenty of power..........
-
Could you show some of these, please?

Nice clean build of a very cool car!

Hello, Daniel! I too am a fan of the BMWs, though I only have a kit of a 2002........ In case you weren't aware, Tamiya made a kit of the e31, the 850i I believe.......... Welcome to the forum!
