  1. Well thanks guys! I like to do a bit of rescue now and then, very satisfying, with these as inspiration........... and................... This is a model featured on youtube of the 914 kit being built!
  2. Bought from ebay UK as an 'already started' in a fancy box! A shade worn! plus other trashed parts of another 914 with the ordinary windscreen, and roof which I'll try and piece together. This one needed quite a bit of refurb, funny brushed paint of different colours, two piece tyres with hard glue residue but still in pieces. Any way this is the result, decals from the spares box and homemade rollbar set up made from sprue and shaped with a tea light candle. I'll park it at the Backstreet Garage and put in Dioramas.
  3. Build it! I never buy a kit I'm not going to build. I started the original Pocher 1930's Merecedes Cabrio still not quite finished abd bought by my wife in 1988!
  4. Going to a small garden centre near us, one miniature steam tractor and a 1940's tractor and trailer following it with the owners family riding on haybales on the trailer, superb sight and sound on a backroad!
  5. Fantastic work Wesley, the decalling is exceptional! Super all round. I remember these as a rally marshall in the day, completely mad machines loud and super fast!
  6. Cheers Steve.
  7. Cheers Dan, now I'm looking forward to building the Belkits VW Polo WRC kit!
  8. Thanks guys, yes as an ex race and rally marshall I'm still keen to watch the rallies on TV and try and find the kits to build.
  9. Thanks afx, nice build except as above twisted rollcage.
  10. Thanks Brizio, yes it's a well detailed (tools, two spares, complete interior) kit with no flash, with PE and seatbelt material.
  11. This is the Belkits version of this WRC rallycar. A very detailed kit with PE parts and Skoda factory decals. One problem was the top of the rollcage being twisted, so fit the sides onto the interior tub, and cut the cage behind the first top crossmember allowing the rear half to be sanded to fit, OK done. The rest is straightforward. I have various clearcoats from three makers, dull/clear and a new one, pearl clear, so I tried it on this build after laying up most of the bodyshell decals. These were Sebastien Ogier's first drive with the VW Group, supporting 'Wings for Life'. The clearcoat with sparkle.............. There are in the kit bumper mounted night lamps, but they cover decals so I left them off.

Great Jim that's good to hear, thanks.
  13. Well, thanks guys. Yes I've just printed off some graffiti decals. I just have to find where to put them............
  14. In a similar vein to my DoKa but with a single cab, lowered, Porsche Fuchs rims, sun visor, Fujimi Bikes and home decals.

Superb Build Jim, I hope your OK out there after this terrible storm!
  17. Superb woody. There would be plenty of trees used in a real one!
  18. I saw this on the Le Mans live feed! I'm waiting to see what you come up with that looks sooooo good!
  19. Thanks Dale and your dead right it's not as easy as it looks copying a 1:1 vehicle.
  20. Thanks again Dann. As said I take my inspiration from pics I see and try and create them with what I have available.
