  1. Any update Anton?
  2. Thanks guys, although an old kit, still good to put together.
  3. That is just magnificent! As a VW fan since I was about 10 (now 75) I'm super impressed. I built one about 2 years ago with Centrelines with the standard body.
  4. Neat! I've seen them race a few times.
  5. Cheers guys, yes the Stratos is a real shorty!
  6. As it was an 'already started' kit I cleaned up the chassis, the 'Alitalia' decals were old, dark and seemed to be on a sheet of cardboard, I searched the web and found this 1:1 car to base it on. I only found one 'HF' decal in the stash, so had to find other 'white' decals. Three versions,
  7. Thanks Doug, so I look forward to tackling the Audi.
  8. Thanks atomicholiday. The kit is an early one so problems with fit. I need to take off various chassis parts as the body is hampered by them being in the way, so may have shave various parts down.
  9. Thanks for that Doug. I've recently bought the NuNu version. So I'll see how that one builds up.
  10. Revell Lancia Stratos. As the kit decals, possibly ten years plus old, look as if they on a piece of cardboard, I have taken a day or so searching through two or more boxes of decals. Having searched the web and seen a dark blue version of the car, have painted the body with a rattle can Plasti-Kote Dark Blue, have now laid up some decals. It is now under a coat of Plasti-Kote gloss clear.
  11. Superb! Which manufacture is the kit please?
  12. Very nice kits, this was one of their older kits. Beware though as the chain drive comes in individual links and can be vey fiddly!
  13. Resurrected this build from problems with a chain and cabling, it depicts an used old 500cc GP bike.
  14. I started this donkeys years ago, but got fed up with the tiny tight screws. I have now glued most of it together, with the only two long screws through the wheel centres. It depicts a well worn old two stroke racer. I just need to drop out the front wheel to add the front fairing and finish off the last few decals.

  15. Thanks stavanzer. Yes this one..
  16. Thanks Trevor. No problems as such, look at plenty of pictures just remember to measure carefully before cutting anything (measure at least twice and cut once), body sides before and after rear wheel arch, chassis, transmission, exhaust etc. On this or another site there is a shortening of the side window version (Revell was it?) To me the difficult bit was the roof as you can see on mine!
  17. Seen on a recent visit to Waterton Lake/Park Nr Banff, we were visiting our eldest son and daughter in law,
  18. What scale is this please?
  19. Superb! Something I've been looking for, for some years.
  20. Very nice! Tom Walkinshaw had his race team about 20 miles from here, in nearby Oxford!
