  1. You're off to a great start. Just finished the Tuner version, I had all the same concerns you mentioned. The trunk panel lines just vanish about halfway to the rear window.
  2. Movie Poster:
  3. I saw a Morgan 3-wheeler the other day. Wasn't expecting that. The day before I saw a Ferrari 458, or something. A few weeks ago I saw a 68 (?) Shelby 500 GT/KR, I wonder if it was real.
  4. Looks great, the color reminds me of the old 80's Supras in metallic blue. The wheels are too blingy for my tastes, though.
  5. Nice score. I've never seen that before. My friend has one in his stable of non-operational, British vehicles. I've had good luck clearcoating dodgy decals with Future.
  6. True dat. That goes for their dune buggies and VW bus kit, too. You really have to know the subject to even get OK results from these kits. There's no excuse for the poor fit, outrageous mold seams, and tons-o-flash.
  7. I have to sort and maintain the cores and used parts for warranty analysis at work. All of these parts are stored in a small building *cough* (shed), or on adjacent pallets next to it. Now, when you see a semi-circle on the ground in front of a door, would you assume it means, "make a big pile of (stuff) here!" These nitwits (@#$!&%#$) do! I can't close or open the door without having to move a pile of stuff.
  8. I just finished the Tuner version. This is an old tooling and has some vague looking body details (handles, rear vents, taillights, etc.) and some pretty shallow panel lines. Doesn't look like they bothered to clean up the mold. The dash glues to the body, holding in the hood hinge. I forgot to put the hinge in mine . The window also go in from the outside, leaving some troublesome gaps. Wacky stuff. Have fun.
  9. Great job on a sub-par kit! I haven't built this, but I've built the Gypsy and several of the Revell Beetles. This looks like it shares the same chassis/wheels and engines as the Gypsy, Manx and Imp kits.
  10. That looks great. I had this kit as a kid, and it wasn't very cooperative from what I recall. I'd be concerned about having all those signs tacked over my head, though, If I were driving.
  11. I think I was probably around 9 years old. I got the AMT Matchbox Snap Fit Camaro: It was my introduction to curbside, before I even knew that was a thing, It had dry rub transfers, which were a spectacular failure. It was so horrible, I cried. I got my dad to take it back to the grocery store and I got the Revell IMSA Formula Sunbird: Which was a pretty awesome kit, except for the engine. It looked like a reverse engineered snap-together engine.
  12. Despite my best efforts to start on a new project, I already started another PA car from junk yard bits. I cut the front off of a Revell 720 Datsun Pick up and mated it to a AMT 90 Chevy frame. Plan to put a Jeep grille on it.
  13. It's been quiet in here. Almost, too quiet. I finally got around to fixing up my damaged '59 Cadillac. Will post some before and after pics when its all together. Still think this needs an official end date, and start a new one. Fury Road is coming out next year, hopefully that will re-ignite you guys enthusiasm/progress.
  14. Finished the Datsun and the driver. Need to take pics.

    Pantera

I built that same kit (Gunze Sangyo version) about 1989. The decals are a nightmare, I didn't even try them as a kid. I've still got mine, but the tires rotted and split.
  16. This looks awesome! Never bought a resin kit before. Hope it's affordable.
  17. That looks great. Have you considered making deck lid standoffs to fix the fitment issue? I've got one of these I've yet to tackle, and I wouldn't expect fitment issued from Tamiya.
  18. I like the miscolored panels on the GTX. Gives it character.
  19. That came out beautiful. The old Tamiya kits still hold up really well. I've got three of these in my stash I need to get around to. (I keep saying that)
  20. wanted the hood to appear as stock appearing as possible enjoy Oh, yeah, that's not going to fool anyone.
  21. 98% sure its a '33 Cadillac.
  22. Got the windows installed on the 510. They install from the outside, like a real car. Never seen this on a model before. Put the second coat of Future on them this morning, and will probably polish them tomorrow.
  23. I'm probably gonna have to get this. Just finishing up the old Tuner version.
  24. You did a fantastic job on it.
