  1. You might find a bare chassis for that...
  2. Glad to see this one moving forward again. Coming together nicely. The little Fiat altereds have been some of my favorites since I first saw one back in the Pleistocene.
  3. OMG!!! OMG!!! WE'RE DOOMED!!!
  4. Up we go, into the wild blue yonder...
  5. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/pontiac-hemi-thread-mickey-thompson-jack-gifford-steve-barcak.316668/ And look at the parts costs. Everything today is at least 10 times that...reasonable considering all the years of inflation, but it's not cheap even to build a "nostalgia" rail job. And then of course you have to find someone who knows which end of a hammer to drive screws with.
  6. Maybe worth perusing... https://www.3dsourced.com/rankings/best-3d-scanner/
  7. Gullible members of any given demographic are the primary target of most advertising campaigns.
  8. So basically: = Looks just like it. Where do I sign up?
  9. But will they make me a PB&J sammige when mom's too busy?
  10. Salads made of words in an effort to sound profound are the typical speaking style of a particular class of fool.
  11. Ah, the magic of phone-based manufacturing technology.
  12. I didn't mean to make light of your problem with the hammer photo, but really...what does it tell you that you called dealerships and Ford and nobody had a clue?
  13. Anybody want to broaden your horizons into electroluminescence, start here: (NOTE: This is an older article and many of the specific parts are no longer available, but the stuff all works the same way) https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/getting-started-with-electroluminescent-el-wire/all
  14. Sand in your shorts can spoil a good time, as can sand in your sandwiches.
  15. Apparent otter rember "spare the rod, spoil the chile".
  16. Wiring LEDs for head-and-taillights on a car model is the simplest electronic circuit you'll ever encounter, and a great opportunity to learn something. I've posted circuit diagrams and sources multiple times, not going to bother doing it again.
  17. Or electroluminescent sheet or strips. Nice even glow.
  18. Business "cases" are sometimes often worth less than the paper they're printed on.
  19. Thank you. sir. That "spirit" was exactly what I'm going for.
  20. When you got nothin'...pander, deflect, blame, fear-monger, and just flat lie.
  21. In general, the question of using any consumer-oriented rattlecan paint always comes back to "test before you paint a model you want to look good". Some years ago, I had some cans of the cheapest brown, black, and green I'd bought to "camouflage" tarps over equipment temporarily stored in my back yard. The green was particularly bilious, but was a decent match for a fleet color a friend's company had used on its trucks in the 1950s. Anyway, I tested the stuff on a properly prepared and primered spare hood I had lying around, the stuff slicked out great, covered well with minimal build, and dried to a lowish gloss perfect to represent slightly aged synthetic fleet enamel from the period. Bottom line: flatly condemning cheap rattlecan paint is counterproductive, but every product you're not very familiar with should be tested before you commit to spraying a model with it.
  22. What I'm wondering at this point is about the conspicuous absence of intervention by the digression police...
