  1. That seems like a helluva lot of work for such a small purchase (no pun intended). I live near and work out of border town Niagara Falls, ON. Would not even occur to me to put the time and effort into driving around town. However, each their own - all the power to you if you can make the effort worth while. The brokerage fees typically do not outweigh the cost of my fuel and time. That said, this is EXACTLY why I avoid vendors like the plague that ship with UPS exclusively. Here's why: I once won an eBay auction for some custom floor mats, costing me $0.25+S&H. The seller declared the item for the full retail value and UPS charge me $50.00 brokerage before they would hand over the parcel. Would have personally declined the shipment, but a family member accepted the package on my behalf and paid cash out of pocket. Lesson learned!
  2. Nice combination of wheels/colours/style
  3. That will buff out nice ?
  4. Turned out rather well for a snap kit!
  5. Mat - curious as to which kit are you building? I have both the discontinued AMT kit and the Revell Snap. You probably want to match the greed to the decals. The Revell kit is closer to a Neon or Mopar Subline Green, while the AMT looks to be more of a dark green.
  6. The kids and I will be there! They're super excited - first time ever attending such an event.
  7. Really appreciate the level of detail and execution on this. Where did you get the scale Michellen Man?
  8. Too cool - I want one (1:1!)
  9. Looks fantastic!
  10. I've lost count how many started/stalled projects....
  11. Not sure how it is for accuracy, but I found a lot of similarities between the basic chassis design of the Revell/Monogram '37 Ford P/U or Panel Delivery and the '37 Ford Coupe. Though the truck kits did not come with performance parts or suspension, one could modify them if you feel creative.
  12. Me too. Something about the color screams '70's Datsun to me... looks right at home on this truck.
  13. I've used Microscale Krystal clear directly over the kit stock headlights on other kits with pretty decent results. Thanks for sharing your tip Tyrone.
  14. Excellent work! My biggest hang up on this kit is the headlights - AMT did not do them justice by molding them in chrome, without a separate lens. your build did a good job at improving the look. Want to share your secret?
  15. Looks great! Love how you coordinated the truck with the cobra
  16. absolutely perfect! Not a thing I don't like about this. Curious how you went about lowering the stance (nailed it BTW). I know the kit stock chassis does not represent the OEM suspension.
  17. Did some work on the rear frame. "Z"d the chassis to get the lower stance. Going to raise the bed floor to accommodate the extra clrearance Another quick mock up
  18. That shows real nice. Something about gloss black and gold cries "classy"!
  19. I remember the video - cool inspiration
  20. Very nice. I especially like the subtle detail of the open buckels on the 5-point harness.
