  1. I want to say that the recent Ford Courier kit has two of each of the current hollow tires with Firestone Super Stones lettering.
  2. I've got a tire pack request, the Firestone Wide Ovals from the Baldwin Motion Camaro. My dream would be tooling up a matching set of two smaller front tires around the size of the ones in the Duster kits and pad printing the white letters on them. Include a big and little set of either Halibrand or Cragar SS wheels with deep dish rears and I'll buy literally dozens of them. There is a huge lack of good big and little tires and wheels.
  3. My guess is dumping kits they feel the might not be able to move once the Revell kit comes out.
  4. The AMT 62 Catalina has a 2x4 intake on the 421.
  5. If you have the AMT Deserter kit you can use it to help you layout the cuts. The beds interchange on the real trucks so line up the wheel wells and trim away the excess. It will work out to taking about 1" from the end that touches the can and about 1/4" between the wheel are and tailgate.
  6. I'm putting parts together to build a ghetto lathe. I found a socket that the wheel just fits in so a bit of masking take will make it nice and tight. I'm going to use a 3/8" drive adapter in my drill and clamp it to my bench so I can turn the wheel inside the socket and use a 1/8" wide chisel I bought to remove the lugs.
  7. The AMT Deserter kit has 8 lug wagon wheels.
  8. They did, it's got Dana 44s from a Jeep.
  9. Is there any other way to order besides Facebook?
  10. I want to change the number of lug nuts. I'd like to make these 4 lug wheels by either removing 4 of the lugs and putting two back in the appropriate location or removing all of them and replacing them with hexagonal rod.
  11. I do not, but I believe you posted a kind of sideways scraper blade that might work but I can't find the post it's in.
  12. Does anyone have a good idea of how to remove the molded in lug nuts from a really deep wheel? I don't have anything that will fit in there without damaging the wheel somehow.
  13. Olson Brothers makes these, not the same style but about the only ones I've seen.
  14. You're right, they're 4 lug. I got my wires crossed somewhere. But they're too small. I'm building a Monogram 1/24 kit so those wheels are like 13". The Aoshima kit I got just happened to have the wheels you posted, I looked through ever set I could find but they didn't have anything American enough looking other than those.
  15. I have the Monroe Handler kit, the wheels are five lug unfortunately. I also might be getting those Aoshima wheels if the kit they're in ever gets here. I'll see how they look when they get here.
  16. I'm building an 81 Mustang and I'm looking for period 4 lug wheels. I have the Halibrand wheels from the Pinto wagon kit but I'm looking for other options. Preferably something like solid disc Centerlines.
  17. Here's a pic of the contents, hemi only with both intakes, three air cleaner options, and two wheel options.
  18. Yep, like the other posters said, you kitbash what you can and scratch build the rest. I recently bought a 41 Chevy COE cab from Jimmy Flintstone, it's literally just a cab and grille. I'm going to use the frame and suspension from the Dodge L700 kit, I've got axles from Shapeways, I'm going to try cast some tires, I need to get the engine 3d printed, the rest I've got to build myself.
  19. Trailertrash Kustoms makes a 7.3 Powerstroke, it's modded from the Monogram 1/24 460.
  20. You can use Mr Super Clear matte spray clear on tires. This will tone down the shiny, then you can use the Vallejo paints and pastels to age them.
  21. There's a round chrome disc that goes behind the headlights on these kits, if you don't use it and just put a bit of foil on the back of the clear lenses you could set the lights back almost a millimeter.
  22. Thank you, I had wondered about what black resin would look like.
  23. I agree on the Ford grilles, one for the Monogram Bronco would be nice as well. The best shape of any 80-86 Ford grille is from the 1/25 Revell snap kits. A copy of that with this center in both scales would be amazing.
