  1. I'll buy at least one, if not more!
  2. PM sent! I was fortunate to get most of the original running gear, but I have a couple of '72 kits for parts swapping. Thanks again!
  3. Now that Modelhaus is no more, is there anyone out there doing pieces for these trucks? I just found another rebuilder (a '69), and need to find all the missing trim bits. Thanks in advance!
  4. There are a couple of those MPC kits I wouldn't mind having back, especially in white styrene. Cars like the Chevette, Cavalier, and EXP would be appreciated. Get rid of the glass-eating Radial T/A's, and it would be even better!
  5. Looking for a set of these wheels, condition of the chrome not important. TIA! Picture courtesy of Fabrux.
  6. How easy would it be to loft this instrument panel into a 3D rendering? This would be a great add for people wanting to build a more basic kit from the Moebius 1965-66 Ford trucks.

After a year away (due to a big IPMS show in our area), we are back for 2024! Date: September 29, 2024, from 9:00-4:00 Location: 2100 Walkley Road, Ottawa, Ontario Further information to be posted as it becomes available.

This year's theme: Saturday Night Cruisers Date: Sunday, May 26, 2024, from 9:00 AM-3:30 PM Location: Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 560, 734 Montreal Street, Kingston, Ontario (Montreal south of John Counter Blvd). Exit #619 from Hwy 401, and the venue is 3.2 km (2 miles) south of the 401.
  9. Does anyone make these wheelcovers in resin or 3D? I have all the bits I need, but the '72 covers are just that much different from the originals.
  10. AFAIK, Salvino's doesn't have the IMSA cars. The later Mustangs were revised into the IMSA Camaros, so not sure if they can easily be put back to original spec.
  11. The EXP and Cavalier were well-detailed kits for the time, the same for the Monogram Daytonas. The TC3 was a decent kit as well. It's been decades since I had a Revell Escort, but seem to recall it being a typical Revell product from the early 1980's. The AMT Escort was essentially an unassembled toy car. I have wondered if the tooling was something which had been started during the Lesney era. The luggage and umbrella moulded into the cargo area was a low point...
  12. Hmmmm... Definitely an interesting selection. I'll have to check those out at the next show!
  13. Does anyone make a resin body for a late 1930's-mid 1940's Chevrolet truck. I would like to convert an Emhar Bedford into a North American-spec truck, but don't feel like modifying a styrene cab. TIA.
  14. As the 1959 Cadillac shares the roof and doors with the rest of the GM lineup, who will be the first to convert this into a Buick, Olds, or Pontiac version?
  15. And in a stunning bit of historical trivia about cars and car models, one of Ira Wilson's sons was Asa 'Ace' Wilson, who was the owner of Royal Pontiac! According to some stories, when Ace died, Ira refused to sell the dealership to Jim Wangers because Wangers was Jewish.
  16. I think the only time the stock-height top was included was the original issue. After that, the mods were made to bring out the Milner Deuce.
  17. The 1979 Mustang still had the 5 Litre (302 c.i.) engine, while the 255 (4.2 L) was introduced for the 1980 model year. Luckily for modellers, the 221/255/260/289/302 Windsor engines all have the same external dimensions. Agree with you on the revisions needed for the 87-88 Mustang kits.
  18. The slots in the '57 Thunderbird aren't bad, but if you have the chance check out the wire wheels in the '55 T-Bird! That's a tooling insert Round2 should dig out of storage.
  19. Really nice, always wanted the issue of this kit with the Kenny Roberts figure!
  20. I have had a couple of them over the years. The MPC 'Vettes have decent detail (much more refined than the 1:16 AMT kits). The only drawback I recall was the dated rolling stock for the custom versions, but plenty of parts to rectify that issue.
  21. I received my overseas order for aftermarket R8 Gordini parts today. It's nice to have extra detail, but I had forgotten how pungent the odour of European casting resins can be. If I went by smell, I would swear the resin was made from mothballs! ?
  22. Great job on the Fiero! I almost bought one similar to the model (6 cyl/5 speed, but a SE), but the clutch was an ON/OFF switch! Surprised the Tamiya Clear reactivated the paint. I've heard so many positive reviews about Hycote and Halfords sprays over the years that I thought they were formulated with plastic models in mind! Vauxhalls? We have wiped those from our collective minds over here. The word "Firenza" (Viva HC) has been known to cause strokes and seizures when mentioned to elderly Canadians...
  23. The original kit never had the side exhaust; that was a detail the builder had to add. I haven't bought the second version of the kit (still have a few of the originals), but sounds like there are no major changes.
  24. X2. Definitely a case where the reissue is better than the original.
  25. I picked up the '71 Mustang kit yesterday, and it looks fantastic! Now all I need to do is wait for the other versions to arrive, so I can build a close replica of my HS ride. Any idea when the next versions will be arriving?
