It's a drag car, so I'll put it here! Found this at a yard sale Sat. Body, int. & chassis is complete, minus motor. Check out the original price on the box. That was a dept. store in town. The '67 Camaro is a complete body, int. & chassis, minus motor, wheels & frt. bumper. Anyone know what kit it was? It has an ss hood, ss grille with hideaway h/l. The chevy truck & the buick bank were separate items. All together, they cost me $2!!!

Mechanical mistakes when building
signguy2108 replied to Jantrix's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Plug wires over the valve covers was pretty much the norm on early 70's hotrods. Ran them over the covers and into looms bolted to the valve covers. As stated, keep them off the headers. -

Ever get approached when taking photos outdoors?
signguy2108 replied to Tom Geiger's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
I have problems sometimes with reference photos, I keep a camera in my truck to take pics with when I see something I like. Stop and ask if I can take pictures, some people are nice about it, others think your spying for the government. Then there was the one of my neighbor sunbathing, but that's another story.... -

I posted a reply before I seen where you were not finishing it. It would have been a cool build to follow, and hoping you get better. -

Snap kit day cab
signguy2108 replied to signguy2108's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Your right, I started to put a wet kit on it, but don't have a dump trailer at the moment. Probably going to pull a flatbed or a lowboy. Thanks for the comments! -
Glad you made it! Mine is at 22%, but doing well. You'll be better in no time, just watch all the little precautions I'm sure they told you about.

Mixed emotions, Friendship, and a 70' Cougar
signguy2108 replied to Austin T's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Yea, you've just experienced life! I've lost a few cars by telling friends about them, but in the end I always realized that it was me that hesitated about it first, leaving the door open for someone else. And somewhere along the I would always find something better! -
anytime you think you're having a bad day
signguy2108 replied to southpier's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
A lot of the time we call a BAD DAY if a part doesn't fit or the paint messes up. Just tonite Oklahoma hit with tornados for the second time in a week. I lost a 15 year old son June 6th, 2000, 4 days before his 16th birthday. (will be tuff around my house next week). Then all my heart problems, died on the operating table 3 times, stayed in a coma for three weeks after an aneurisym. But ever time I walk though my heart docs office or turn on the TV, I see someone in worse shape than I am! There are so many things in life we take for granite that we can lose in a split second.... -
white western star ext.hood
signguy2108 replied to Q tip's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Going to be cool with the long hood. Pity the guy who has to drive it, they were hard enough to see over with the regular hood! -
Wow, what should have happened is the owner yelling out " Hey Bill, come clean this mans tire off!" Amazes me what some shops get away with.

Snap kit day cab
signguy2108 replied to signguy2108's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Thanks for the comments. It's nothing special, just shows that you don't have to pass it up because it says "snap kit" -
Actual heart surgery or just a difibb? Diffibulator is no sweat, in one day and out the next. I've had one since 2010, no problems so far. Good luck!

I have problems with FedEx. They operate 2 trucks in my town and the drivers are bad about handing off packages to each other. Once it trades trucks it is marked delivered. What the online tracking # says is delivered at 9:35 a.m. may not actually show up at my door till 2:00 in the afternoon! There is no local phone # to call and check on it, 800 # has to go though channels. My ups & usps drivers I have cell #'s for.
