  2. Great looking little truck. Well done!
  3. Cool, clean build. Makes want to get in it and drive away!
  4. Good looking truck. I like the single axle setup. Typical color for the fords of that era.
  5. Well done! Alot of work in this one, but worth every moment!
  6. Good looking truck. Detailed well. I had a friend that had one of these yrs ago that was a wrecker. Had to get dragged in by it a couple of times!
  7. When finished, it will resemble(?) a Broderson 200 series. A freind of mine had one rented for a couple of days, got a lot of pics. Just getteing started on it.
  8. Cool! I like the black wheels, goes good with the silver. Good looking rig.
  9. Good looking truck! I love the color combo!
  10. Thanks for the comments! Sorry i didnt respond earlier, at my heart doc all day yesterday(its time for his yacht payment!). The real truck was always a work in progress, bought it with a chip haul contract, had it about six yrs. The color combo was off of a ford brochure for that time period. Started out ABF green, 6V92 detroit, no power steering and a handful on wet pavement! wish I had newer pics of it, I fiberglassed single square h/lamps in it 2 yrs before ford change them! (I wonder?) Pulled a Great Dane 42' chip van. The model, grille surround is chrome sign vinyl, tanks, visor, bug shield all scatchbuilt. the four spring susp and rear wheels came out of my parts box. The autocar is my lone remaining models from year ago, rebuilt several times,(the cab & frt half of frame are so brittle i dont think it could stand another one!) The trailer, yes, is scratchbuilt, 44' traileze hydrotail. Thanks again for responding...
  11. Heck of a start! should b cool when finished
  12. I use superclean, strain it in a paint filter when finished and pour it back in the bottle. One time investment!
  13. My lowboy needed something to haul, so here goes! 1/25 scale carry deck crane, scratchbuilding everything except frame (cut & shortened) and wheels are dollar store toy truck parts!
  14. A couple of projects from last year. Autocar just finished sixth rebuild, scratchbuilt bed, winches and frt bumper. fresh paint. Ford is a minature version of one i owned in the mid 80's. (started as an old green ABF truck!)
  15. A little more work on this one, sliding doors done, bumper from an autocar, newray toy wheels converted to six lug, drip rails, side rub bars and dash started. Mirror bracket is aluminum tig welding wire. more later
  16. no harm done, guys!! what I meant was that is if I wanted to build a "kit" , the grumman looks to be well done. More on mine sometime this week.
  17. Good start! Wish I had the ability to do engine detail, never have been able to get those little-bitty plug wires on! Looks good
  18. Thanks guys! A few odds n ends to do, then i'll get them behind some trucks.
  19. Yeah Jim, I was thinking flatbed, I just hate to cover up the work on the back of cab with a headache rack and I don't really want a headboard on the trailer. Life is so complicated!
  20. Thanks for the comments. If your into peterbilts, they are a great starting point, and if you mess it up, at least there is a few good parts for the money!
  21. yeah, and the whole time I was cutting the body, I was thinking surely someone makes one, but I couldnt find it. And his look alot better than mine!!!!
  22. First, thanks for the comments guys! G, all Ive got is a pattern for the side. Anyone wanting to build one of these, ck out morgonolson.com, click on literature, then click on either of the first 3 pics. Line drawings and measuements are at the bottom of the page. Ill try to have more on this one next wk! Have fun!!!
