  1. Ha! I've been here before, sitting in a paper mill 6-7 hrs waiting to unload wood chips!
  2. Think the cars are scary, google " autonomuos trucks"!! Think about 80,000 lbs coming up in your rearview mirror at a stoplight!!
  3. Chris, good luck! Here's a site that might interest you, truckersreport.com I've been out of trucking for quite a while, but I still look at this site everyday, a forum for just about anything trucker related!
  4. thanks for the pics and the brochure, got 2 of these to build. About 3 yrs ago before I started back modeling, I threw 10-12 years of The Truck Paper (and for those that do not know, its weekly) in the trash !!!
  5. All scratchbuilt 44'-48'. 48' aluminum flat, 48 ft. steel drop deck, 48' haulass brand double deck w/19.5 wheels (attually new rey filled in and redrilled. Yellow lowboy was started before the rnd 2 reissue, real wood floor. the blue hydrotail and my other lowboy you have already seen. the kw and pete are more snap kits.
  6. Jon, there is at least one in southeast arkansas! I been wondering the same thing, used to be a couple more here, but I havent seen anything on them lately.
  7. Maybe their problem is the car and the background look way too real. I say great job on the '62 and your photography!! Oh, and I thought at first it was my neighbors car except his has fender skirts and I know thats not his wife... I see no need to apologize for anything!
  8. Another superb example of why I do not post dragcars!! Well done, I can almost feel it running.
  9. Yes! Back years ago about the only trucks that had pogo sticks around here were pete"s & K/w's. It's not 100% correct but just a builders choice whether to include airlines. This is a great looking truck without them!!
  10. Nothing wrong with this, Great looking build! the graphics on the trailer make it that much more real.
  11. No Harry not all trucks do. Alot of them just had a spring suspending from the back of the cab or you might just see them laid across the frame rail behind the tanks, depends largely on how long the wheelbase is.
  12. Well Chuck, looks like u came back in a big way! Good looking truck with just enough detail and the color really makes it stand out
  13. sorry to here this,Harry. I havent been keeping up on here lately. Hope treatments work. On top of all my other health problems i have arthritis in my rt hand & yes im rt handed! Days like today with it raining it hurts so bad i just want to cut it off Hope they find a way to fight your pain.
  14. I have ordered several times from hobbylinc-atlanta, usually 3-4 days before they even pull the order an ship. Aggravating at times, but then on the other hand its alot shorter than waiting on some resin parts.
  15. good looking wrecker, should be able to see it coming!
  16. all good looking rigs! I think I like the old w/s best!
  17. Another nice build. I remember an old brown ford cabover around here with painted "wings" on it, never did understand the thinking behind them.
  18. Good looking rig. U would never know it was a snap kit! I like the colors
  19. Glad u figured out the picture deal, sharp truck!
  20. Good job, Tim! Always look forwward to seeing your projects.
  21. Bill, you can buy a NICE looking vehicle around here for 1700! I saw a "professionally built" box stock snap kit pete on ebay yesterday for 70.00 bucks! and some clueless soul will probably buy it.
