  1. Terry, the difference between the vnl daycab and the vhd looks to be in the rocker area under the door and the lower cowl /fender panel. commercialtrucktrader has some real good side views of both. Also some good hood shots. the vhd would make a tuff looking log truck, go for it!
  2. 3M also makes a bright yellow tape for use with waterbourne paints, it's like the green at about half the price. My 3M jobber carries it, but does'nt keep it on the shelf out frt., I have to ask for it. I bought 2 rolls of 2" this morning @‌ 5.99, the green 2" is about 13 bucks here now! Our W/Mart carries the green 3M in 3/4".
  3. Terry, the vnl200(single axle) and the vnl 300(dual axle) are the daycab versions of the vnl series. Looks like the same cab, diff hood, but I've been wrong before!
  4. The VN series came out in 96, not sure what versions that included, but the 780 has only had minor changes in fender mounted mirrors since then and a new frt bumper in 2016.
  5. not sure if someone is not paying attention or just does not want to reply, but i"ve been wondering the same thing.
  6. it"ll be cool to see a big Impala. If you haven"t already, google "67 chevy impala drag car chassis", several pics. The gold car is just mean looking, and there's one pic that takes you to superchevy.com They did an article on it with several interior and chassis shots. (I'm not good with links!)

  8. My wife says I still act like a child at times, does that count?
  9. Sorry Dan, I see the strip your talking about now. Could also be to keep down the water spray. Like you said, there are some issues with this kit that made me question whether to start on another one. I' m building a day cab at the moment. Again, good looking rig.
