  1. I looked at that as well. For many of the photos it was very hard to be certain that it was a model. David your diorama just keeps getting better, as do the images you are posting. Your storm drains really add a measure of believability. It's subtle but works very well. Any time I need a boost I open this thread and get a smile.
  2. I agree with the others. V er ry, very nice. I especially like the flags and signs.
  3. I cant agree more with the othere. The craftsmanship evident here is very impressive. I like it.
  4. I usually blow by the 29 Fords as so many are street rods but yours is fabulous.
  5. On high end cars and deluxe models of common cars they were seen fairly often. While not everyone's style, the whitewalls are very appropriate in this application. I would love to see a WIP of this one and would like to know how you handled the pinstripes on this.
  6. This has to be the finest build of a Monogram Model A I have ever seen. From the stripes on the body to the engine you nailed it. I did notice you missed the lock washers on the suspension nuts.
  7. Wowsa. This is great work. I'll be very interested to see how you approach the grill assembly.
  8. Sorry but I just don't recall the car in that much detail.
  9. I have seen the 1:1 in person a couple times. You nailed the color. I am watching this with great interest.
  10. It was bound to happen. This looks fantastic.
  11. If you are looking for a photo of the 1:1 give the Amelia Island Concours site a look as they tend to get some rare racers there, especially because Concours Director Bill Warner is really into vintage racing. Just a hunch that if the real car, or an accurate recreation were to surface, that's where it would be. I will follow this one with great interest.
  12. I agree with the others. I had dreams of building something like this but never got it started. A BIG diorama is indeed inspirational. Very nice.
  13. Glad it cleared the garage door opening! Looks great Pat. Worth the wait I hope?
  14. Perhaps my favorite car of all time. I will follow this one with great pleasure.
  15. Oh, so close. Looks great.
  16. These are indeed impressive. Well done.
  17. I agree. The Buick looked like a real disaster but looks great now. Good choice for the color.
  18. I have been thinking of trying out this kit. Its a good build?
  19. I too have taken much of the summer off. I've been focusing on the 1:1 cars instead. You always provide a hearty helping of eye candy!
  20. I can't add a lot to what has already been said. The model is stunningly beautiful to be sure, but I have rarely seen a model more beautifully presented on this forum than you have done here. The whole thing is a work of art.
  21. I am looking forward to seeing the finished product!
  22. I agree. You hace done a really masterful job of removing the Ford from this and making it look like a real Dodge. I especially like the treatment of the top. Can you tell us about that?
  23. The wooden frame was being phased out in 1928 and was (mercifully) gone in 1929. These cars are an absolute delight to drive and will run rings around contemporary Packards, Lincolns and Cadillacs. In my opinion Franklins are the most under appreciated and under valued classics out there. Goody for me!
  24. If I won the lottery I would buy a Duesenberg but until then maybe this would suffice, 1929 Franklin 137 Sport Runabout.
  25. A very early Land Rover prototype?
