  1. My kind of car. I love everything about 60s Lincolns. Great model!
  2. The Duesenberg project is done. It should be posted under glass in a day or two. The next dead one may be a project that may be a record, I started it 38 years ago.
  3. Many treasures were lost here. I offer my sincere sympathies! Your determination to rebuild is admirable. I don't know that I would have it in me. All the best.
  4. This will be the final WIP installment. I have some decal work to do and will probably do a little work to add just a little road grime, then under glass. I always think a model looks more complete once its "eyes" are in place. So much for a quick build.
  5. My Duesenberg is probably 2 evenings out. I am thinking I might try to add one more to the completions pile....maybe.
  6. Today I finished the top side of the exhaust system. I probably have two more evenings and I will have this one wrapped up.
  7. I have owned one of these and sold it. Wish I hadn't. Yours is most excellent. Great colors.
  8. I am closing in on this one. I smudged the hood with some glue so that's being repainted. I also worked on the exhaust manifold routing and feel I am pretty close. Next I can add lights and the carburation system. My only regret is I should have painted the spokes to match the interior colors. Right now I think the car looks a touch drab.
  9. Oddly I got my fist 1:1 shortly after my HS graduation and it looked a LOT like this one. Great, and very believable story. The car is rusted exactly as the real ones do. Very nice!
  10. I'm curious...did this one get done in time for a show? Or done at all? Please share! All the best.
  11. Sorry yes, I meant Bobby. But I had been watching Harry Potter and Dobbie is his friend there. Oops!
  12. I've driven a 1:1 version of this car and it is really something. You have really done an exceptional job here
  13. Wow. Beautiful. I'd never thought of this color but yes, it works. Very nice.
  14. I had the gull-wing version of this but decided it was too complex for me. You sure did it justice
  15. I couldn't agree more with the others. I too really appreciate all the goodies on the. The Ruxtell 2-speed axle with the extra support rods Chevrolet wheels, wrapped steering wheel...it all works. Very, very nice.
  16. Absolutely fabulous. I have an above average interest in these early Fords and really appreciate this one. Great model in every way. Tim's photography really shows it off.
  17. Yes it is. Fabulous isn't it? I wish I could take credit for it.
  18. Pretty soon you'll have the Dobby talking.
  19. It probably doesn't look like much but I now have the hood sides fitted and the body is glued to the chassis. I managed to get some glue on the hood so I will be repainting that. Oh well.
  20. I am familiar with "Blondie " from the Harrah's Collection. It is quite a car. Looking at this maybe its time to take another crack at this one. I like mine but clearly it leaves much to be desired.
  21. Here is the car with a new front axle under it. The stance of the front wheels looks better. I also made a decision about how I will route the exhaust manifold. This is not going to be a perfect model, but I am happy with it so far.
  22. Ive always wondered about this kit. I'll be very interested in watching your progress.
  23. Here is where I started the other day.
  24. You sure got this one right. I'm betting that the decals were a real treat to apply.
  25. Thanks for all the compliments everyone. I would love to try this one again sometime, likely with a full top. I think I could make some improvements. I am fortunate to have a 1:1 practically in my back yard for a reference, a car that was acquired after this model was finished. That would help a lot.
