I have too many to list, like many of the rest of you. I am completely stalled on a pair of Duesenberg racers...to a point where they are back in their boxes. I think I have model builder's depression as I can't muster the interest to work on anything. It will come back at some point but for now nothing.
Fabulous as always. The five RR variations are really a stunning sight. I've done multiple variations myself but yours takes the cake. Best of luck at your exhibit.
Now that is cool. I often quote the Boss to patients of mine. "Like a river that don't know where it's flowing, I took a wrong turn and just kept on going..." Absolutely fabulmodel Ellen.
I do have some very, very nice stuff in the garage (including a Full Classic Franklin) but alas, no Duesenberg. When I re-read my original post I thought I should have made that more clear.
I would love to show you the Duesenberg but that model is not only not done but not yet started.
The Rolls is part of the Gilmore Car Museum collection. I have been a volunteer there for over 20 years having graduated to a level of trust where I can take out "the big guns" such as the '30 Packard, the '34 Lincoln 12 and I have been entrusted with the Duesenberg, even for an overnight.
Several years ago my dad and I drove this car through the Downtown Kalamazoo Christmas Parade before we graduated to a Duesenberg. I may have posted this before but thought you would enjoy it. I have always intended to do a diorama of the scene but never have gotten that far. The Rolls is a model that received quite a lot of work, most of which nobody would ever notice. That included changes in the fenders and some extra work on the dual ignition engine. Because of the likeness of my late father being included (front passenger) this model has become one of my favorites.
That looks absolutely fabulous. I own a 1:1 Lincoln Convertible, white with a dark red interior. Your model has me thinking...You have a very well built model here. Too bad they are so crazy expensive.
Oh...and congratulations on your invitation to exhibit with the RR group. I like the look of the Henry Ford figures. You have convinced me to purchase a set.
Absolutely! We wouldn't want malady offended by an undignified presentation! Keep in mind my observations are always tempered by a feeling of respect for your incredibly skilled work. I have also gotten the impression that you want this to look "right" at every turn. I like that perspective a lot.
