  1. oh come on. You don't need tthat one. I'll spare you the misery of you want to send it my way. Sure would look nice next to a certain 60 Olds I have.
  2. Nice. What did you use for the colors ?
  3. Now thats my idea of how a 65 Comet should look Well done
  4. my offer stands if he does. Just send my original back and one new one
  5. Wonder if they cut a new tool for the body and interior. Or modified the existing tooling. Meaning no more 68-69 chargers
  6. Deep down I completely agree. If all the model manufactures quit today. I've got more then my share to hold me over there rest of my days. Although I would definitely take notice if the wanted to do a late 50s Dodge or Desoto as a last hurrah .
  7. My offer still stands to loan my original to a reputable caster. All I want is my original back and one resin .
  8. dealer brochure . They typically used pilot or pre-production cars for pictures. A good example look at the 1970 challenger brochure. It shows one with a body colored shaker hood bubble......also Not avail on the production car.
  9. Trust me, its wrong. I stand my my earlier comment. No 1970 Coronet grills had red in them from the factory
  10. I have one of these double dragster kits in the for sale pile. After seeing this I just put it back in the stash . I need to build this one . And I already have the paint
  11. Ive seen them in my LHS near by . But no interest to buy one of them
  12. Only speaking for A 1956 Chrysler 300 used a 331 Hemi A 1956 Desoto Adventure used a 341 Hemi If they're similar in outward appearance I cant say one way or the other. I'm not very well versed on the Mopar cars this old, so any other differences I would have to dig into further, ( a good friend of mine has a a 1955 300 and he knows these cars really well ) But my gut feeling is there are enough differences it would be basically be an all new tool. And Im ok with that ( I actually would prefer either a 57-59 model years myself ) Or if they really want to float my boat how about a 55 or 56 Imperial.
  13. No, that was a pre-production thing that never materialized in the 1/1 . All 1970 Coronet grilles are the same , a light non textured argent silver with black accents in the vertical grills
  14. Ive got a few other of there hoods. Thanks, but I'll pass.
  15. I wouldn't mind having an original metal axle version. Ive got all 4 of the 68-69 Coronet variations here now. So I might as well look for a clean builder 70 annual . Ive got several of the repops from years ago. So I have no interest in another one of them ,,no matter how neat the box is I screwed up at a swap meet a few weeks back ,, a guy had an original issue builtup for $15 and I left it there. Oddly enough I regretted it as soon as I got on the freeway ( almost turned around and went back ,,,if the wife wasnt with me I would have )
  16. got them off Ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/DECALS-Lee-Smiths-1968-Plymouth-Hemi-Roadrunner-S-S-/302284078089?hash=item466188fc09:g:1l0AAOxyUylTPlod
  17. Mail call. - Decals to do these 3 cars. The Duster is going to be really close to the front of the line
  18. Yes, the cars are exactly the same , save for the GTX specific trim obviously
  19. I know the johan GTX grill fits the amt body with minimul effort. So I assume same goes for the johan 69 roadrunner grill . Can't answer about the harts resin grill.
  20. I might have some magazines from back then if your interested.
  21. Looking at it ..i thought the 1st picture was the actual car. Well done. Now if only we could get the wraith car itself
  22. May he finally rest in peace and comfort without pain. Theres going to be a major hole around here without him Although we never met....i miss him.
  23. To get this tread back on topic. AMT for the 68 is a decent start and can be made to look pretty reasonable without a boatload of work . The Johan 69 isn't terrible to find.,,,and if your patient can be had in the $35-$45 range for a really nice builder ( maybe less if you get lucky) Expect to pay in the $50 - $75 range for an unbuilt kit depending on the color its molded in . ( white demands a few more bucks than the molded in color versions ). But just as an fyi, ALL the 69 re-issues have the 1970 Interior in them if that matters to you. Johan made the 70 and it has never been re-issued. Expect to pay in the $100 to $125 range for a decent complete builder and upwards of $250-350 ( maybe more ) for unbuilt. I got REALLY luck on mine , found it on ebay in some weird listing for under $50 about 5 or 6 years ago
  24. Ive got a couple of them . Not including the one in my builder kit. I am really thinking of trying my hand at resin casting. And I think this grill might be something I would like to try and get my feet wet with,, so to speak .
