  1. How about some non hemi avs carbs?
  2. Use the engine assy from the revell 68 69 charger or the dart kit. Just modify the valve covers into the earlier 4 bolt style
  3. Price has become a somewhat big deal for me, Not so much because I cant afford it,,,its because I'm a tight wad. I already have hundreds of kits on shelf still sealed with the sticker on it,,,many at $5.99 or less. So my buying of modern tool kits has become extremely selective in the past few years.
  4. true.........but my issue wih this.method is by the time i buy 2 kits im in over $55. $60 not including decals.it
  5. This isnt the same kit that was in an Advent box many years ago was it ?
  6. Which one ? My gut feeling is this kit is toast . Its hasn't been done in many years
  7. Thats a shame, As I would MUCH rather have the sedan with all the superstock parts in it as opposed the Missile car IMO - I tend to think it would sell better. But I understand its business
  8. your point ?
  9. I dont see a problem. If I think I can make a few bucks on something ...ill flip it.....dont care what it is
  10. Is the intake manifold the one in the kit ? Reason I ask is its way to high up the valve covers on both sides
  11. Ditto, I really like the color choice
  12. The 62 Fury convertible kit is probably the easiest of the Johan kits to find,,,build it. I've got one I had begun many years ago in plans to build Jane Hathaway car from the Beverly Hillbilly's
  13. If you go to Speed City Resins website, they list several different suppliers for the AFX car decals I think Slixx only has the Landy and the Sox - Martin cars
  14. Agreed, My wife is only 5' tall. and getting a safe distance from the airbags has always been a challenge when car buying. We have a 2005 Chrysler T+C with adjustable pedals. and its a god send in a perfect world you want to be approx 12 to 18 inches away from the airbag ,,,preferably the 18"
  15. Having been a dealer tech for nearly 25 years. I've seen and heard it all. Some people complain that the manufacturer should fix anything and everything if they've heard more than 2 people with the same complain. Yet some complain when the OEM DOES fix it . Its a double edge sword, darn if they do and darn of they don't. And btw,,,,,,With ANY recall, you do not have to take it in to fix it, that's entirely your decision. . Harry, this isn't targeted towards you so please dont take it as such ,,,its just the one that sent me over the edge. And just a bit of advise to any driver, avoid driving with your arm across the air bags path ( ie - left arm crossing over to the right side) be it straight ahead or if making a turn. Airbags are designed to stop your bodies forward momentum , And it doesn't care if your arm , your chest or your head is in the way.
  16. Sorry, darn a manufacture has found a defect and is doing the right thing,,,,,,fix it for free . And all people do is bash it. At least there fixing it,,,so sorry you think you have to go in twice, ( you don't btw ,,,,your more then welcome to wait till they get all the parts and just make one trip) I get so tired of the whole dealer / manufacturer bashing .
  17. Do a googe search for its a mad mad mad mad world. There was a red 1962 Plymouth used in it
  18. I applaud there efforts, but nothing there sparks my fancy
  19. Cool. I have all 3 years of Edsel kits ( all convertibles ) both my 59 and 60 are unbuilt. but my 58 is an unpainted builder. I keep wanting to build them but cant decide on color combinations for any of the 3
  20. Very Very cool
  21. Excellent work so far. I keep thinking I need to build one of these
  22. Did a trade with Vince aka - vintagedragcrazy Its all great on my end as well
  23. Anyone know of a source to obtain the decals for this car . I have about all the parts gathered up,,,but so far cant find the decals anywhere
  24. Yes, I have a mint sealed inside Barry Setzer Vega funnycar with will remain that way as long as I own it. And I have ZERO intention of selling it in my lifetime. I bought it factory sealed strictly for sentimental reasons ( its one of the kits I remember building when it was new , many many years ago) I opened in when it arrived just to ck the contents were intact and mint ,,,but that's as far as its going to go . I have several builtups and one built and in the case. And with it being its one of my all time favorite drag cars. It seemed only right I needed one . Actually I have a few kits that will never get built ( same reason as above ) A sealed inside Soapy Sales challenger , one of the re-issue Badman Chevys and one of the re-issue McLaren Can Am cars ( the 1/20th scale version.) All were kits I remember having way back when and wanted them ,,just so I can say 'I had these back when new' . I have builders or another unbuilt to build of them all when the time is right or the mood strikes me its time. I am casually on the lookout to get a mint unbuilt Charlie Allen Dart kit for the same reason. ( already have a really nice buitup of it )
