  1. I liked hers so much, I built one for me. Only I took some liberties on mine ---such as a different drive-train plus I repainted mine
  2. My daughter built this 2 years ago,,,she was 12 at the time. No paint, just some spare decals I had laying around
  3. I built a convertible annual a few years ago to replicate a good friends actual car. QQ1 medium blue metallic with the 2 tone blue and white interior. 440 auto , Factory A/C and power window car
  4. Yep, tooling was altered many many years ago. so that idea is toast. It would be a dream come true for me. And I'm just not paying $100 for a clean buildup original. I have an R+R resin one. Its not perfect but its not hateful either. ,,,I just would rather not have resin. I'm working on a trade deal to get a clean 69 locally,,,but would much rather have the 68 .
  5. Sure would be nice, but I'm not holding my breath to get an all new one. Originals command top money for buildups . Then again, Never in my wildest dreams think an all new tool of a 1955 Chrysler 300 would develop either. If they do it, I'll take a case right now. Especially if they do it so can be done as a Superbee or an R/T
  6. I like it,,,,I like it A LOT
  7. Interesting. The only acrylic I've used is black to detail grilles because I can thin it with water to make it flow out and not damage chrome. Might have to look into using outer colors.
  8. I cant answer this in all certainty . The only early Barracuda promos I have is a 66 and a 69 . And I have an original issue 68 barracuda kit which I know is MPC I think the 66 promo may be AMT , and can only assume MPC did the 69 promos I mainly collect the mid size B body cars . GTX , Chargers etc etc
  9. I guess to be PC correct. I am pretty sure Johan did all Mopar promos up to and including 1964 , From there Johan did only the Plymouth's up to 1970. MPC did the 1965 thru 1970 Dodges, and I think they took over them all after 1970 model year for Ma Mopar. same thing applies to the kits of the period
  10. I'm pretty sure you are correct. I think Johan did all the Mopar promos up well into the late 60s I collect dealer promos , but nothing that old so my knowledge is limited of the early car stuff
  11. Yep, the moral to eBay is if an item sells for more then your willing to pay. wait a week ( sometimes more , sometimes less ) there WILL be another one. As a rule if its something hard to find or rarely shows up on there . And yet,,,When one does show and sells for insane money. I guarantee another one , or 2 or 3 will show up soon, sometimes the same day. And it RARELY brings anything close to the 1st ones sale price. When I see an item that catches my fancy and I wouldn't mind having it. I'll throw a bid and see what happens , sometimes i win , sometimes I loose. But if I REALLY want it, I bid at the last few seconds . Again if I get it fine, if not . that's fine as well. ( see above ) case in point. I wanted a clean builder 59 Fury kit. But they were consistently going anywhere from $200 to as high as $250 . I waited and got one a few weeks ago for about $125 , including the original box and some of the custom stuff . There was one on a few days ago that was real dirty and the pictures were so so. But I thought about trying to grab it as well ( makes a nice trading piece ) But got busy with house / family and forgot about it. It sold for about $50 Trust me, patience is key when it comes to buying on Ebay. For me personally , I have a list of my wants on my desk, and I had them all saved in my Ebay saved search page . Over the past 18 months or so I've filled all but about 3 or 4 of them. Some I paid fair market for , some I paid well under fair market. But NONE did i pay over ,,,,A - fair market or B - my budget.
  12. Yep, so far it was gold interior like any other 64 Plymouth , no roll bar , push button auto, white engine compartment, orange 426 max wedge engine . fender-well headers . I was already pretty sure its gold interior and buckets . But wasn't sure of the little stuff like if the dash mounted push button shift was still employed then.
  13. Sweet, am in talks with Jim Hall via Facebook on some smaller details to replicate this car as best as I can
  14. Sweet, These cars look SOOOOOO good in black .
  15. Thats an understatement. You do pieces that I never even knew existed in real life ,let alone model form And Different is good. Either way , your diversity has made me consider stepping outside my usual subjects sometime because of it . I have some 20's and early 30s cars that may come to the front of the line sooner than originally planned . My dad is a retired rail road engineer . And I have considered building some sort of locomotive for him . Might have to seriously consider it sooner than later.
  16. Yep, the rear section is actually the spare tire well in the trunk
  17. What no splines on the half shafts? I'm so dis-appointed. LOL. On a serious note. working U joints in 1.25th scale is just insane . COOL, but still insane to even think was possible
  18. With all the bumps and edges it has to go over I wasn't confident tape would work . I had thought about maybe play-do I've never used liquid mask before so it never entered my mind........Might have to look into that. Spent a little time yesterday to start fitting Johan fenderwell headers to the Lindberg engine/ chassis ( that was fun,,,,,,,,,,NOT )
  19. flippen to cool
  20. Anyone know for sure on the interior for the Golden Commados 1964 Plymouth. #5 The white 1964 Plymouth 2 door hardtop. I am about 99% positive the car is a max wedge auto, but not 100% sure on the interior , color or bench or buckets ? I think its gold bucket seats but would like to be sure before I go any further on this project All I can find are pictures of the later 64 which is #6 ,,,,,which is a Hemi auto 2 door sedan with gold interior or the 65 AFX car PS, Anyone have any ideas on how to paint the wheels in the 2 tone treatment ? Masking them off I have a feeling is not possible without serious bleed thru this car is the one I am after info on
  21. Very true, The black Bonneville I posted above is done exactly as Steve G referred to above. ,,,same as the blue 60 Ford I posted . The Bonneville is on ebay and the ford is on my PB account To see where the image is hosted , right click on the pic and then click properties . It will show where its hosted. But I try to not use this method unless its going to be for a very short time to get my point across.
  22. I'll brutally honest. the style/ subject matter isn't my usual cup of tea. But,,,WOW, I like it, all of it , from the color choices to the overall look. But especially the uniqueness of the turbo 4 cyl is just plain cool . well done
  23. It's very simple to post photos from the internet. Just copy & paste. Find the picture you want, right click on it, click on "copy image". Then go to the forum, right click anywhere in the text box that you're posting in & click "paste". Now if you're using a device such as an ipad or other device without a mouse, I can't help you. I use my good old desk top computer & it's as easy as pie Sweet, that worked. I didn't know you could do that
  24. Duh, I Should refrain posting till I've had my morning coffee. I knew that, as I have a Johan 1960 here close to my desk
