  1. The decals for the Demon, Not sure how accurate they are for the later Dart http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=73212&hl=%2Bbilly+%2Bthe+%2Bkid
  2. http://www.ebay.com/sch/t.m.resin/m.html?item=151353724221&hash=item233d628d3d&pt=Model_Kit_US&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562 New Id or something ? definitly all the same product line.
  3. Interesting. Ivo, Ramchargers and All American all show it with a 426 based Hemi The 2 Garlits cars both show it with a 392 based Hemi on the box,,,,what does it actually have in the box ? The only one I have is the Ramchargers car,, and have never opened it to see what engine is actually in the box,,but assume it's a 426 based ?
  4. Not 100% sure . But I think the yellow one that used to be in the Kevin Snodham ( sp ck ) collection in washington state, ( aka ,the former Otis Chandler aka Steven Segal car out of New Jersey ) . is a non billboard car . This is the car the Nash Bridges series car was patterned after I know the winchester grey car when 1st shown didn't have the billboard decal but I see now it does,,which way is correct ? no idea
  5. The billboard question I can't answer. BUT, I am almost certain there were 3 export 1971 Hemi Cuda verts produced. 1 - winchester grey and 2 white cars ONE of the white cars is a rebody using SOME of the original cars drivetrain to get the vin number
  6. 1st one is/was dark blue, red and white. I would almost guarentee it Good friend of mine knows Don well ( actually owns one of his old cars ) I will contact him to confirm 100%
  7. I've got maybe 16-18 of the AMT 1962 Impalas, about 8 Revell Thunderbolts, 14 Lindberg 1964 Dodges. and maybe another 8 of the 64 Plymouths. None of these are all the exact same car. But all are on hand , be them built or unbuilt or somewhere in between . But by reading thru this thread,,I'm an amateur
  8. As far as the little 1/8" long line in the rocker panel missing,,,,I don't really care. I build model cars ,,not million dollar museum pieces If I can look in my display case and see that the finished product looks like the car I am trying to replicate within a reasonable distance ( lets say 3 or 4 feet ) Then all is good with me and I will buy more of said product. As an example ,,,,I just ordered a half dozen of the S+M Cudas btw in hopes the aftermkt will take it and run with it doing multiple decals to replicate different cars. About the only thing I'll do is try my best to correct the hood scoop and make it look a bit more accurate to the 1/1
  9. Chuck, If I may ask,,,,,What color dd you use. In some pics I have of this car it looks burgandy yet in others it looks more red or dark copper . I have a Reliable resin body I bought several years back . And the more pics I see of the Warlord car it moves closer to the ft of the line How much work will the polar lights interior tins to work in the camaro body
  10. Ditto, I think I could live with the back ,,,but Not a fan of the grille,,,but otherwise I say finish it as is . I think it looks pretty cool, especially in the side shot
  11. Hands down the favorite one in my case. Built this probably close to 15 years ago. 100% straight out of the box ,,with original kit decals
  12. The one I finished . And yes it came out much better than I remember the original one did many years ago. Those are all original kit decals . Built 100% straight out of the box.
  13. I have a few I doubt I'll build . But this is the only one I have zero chances to build. Although I bought it as a sealed kit with all intentions to build,. But not to long after I bought it I found another one but started,, so I built it instead . It was factory sealed when I got it,,,, and is still sealed inside dead mint kit . It's one of the kits I had as a kid many many years ago . And always wanted another one to see if I could do better justice as an adult. Was browsing around ebay a few years back and stumbled on it,,and had to have it. I think i paid something like $100 for it . But paid something like $35 for the started one.
  14. If you google Sox and Martin Cuda or Pro stock you'll get a LOT of the restored car. IF thats what your after to replicate. If you want to replicate the car as it was back then ,,( my preferance ) it gets a tad tougher to come up with pics. Ebay is a good source . I have a bunch of S+M pics,,although not all are of this car I can try to post ,,as time goes by Here are a few of the ones I have handy http://home.fuse.net/jallphin/Sox-Martin/
  15. IMO, one of the best things one can do for the Revell kits is lower the rear of the chassis . There is a tutorial somewhere ,,just can't remember where it's posted I've got one of these in the stash to do ,,,,,,,,,someday
  16. Bretti, Sorry, I can't answer that one. I grab any and every pic I come up with off the net of any old Drag car prior to about the1972-73 time frame. So I have no idea who , when or where the picture was taken. thus my note when I posted it. I looked thru my pics file of this car and in the ones I can tell ,,, all of them sure looks like the tires are completely under the body. I don't know the rules back then so I am guessing,,,,,maybe a 10.5" tire in the 29-30" tall area ???????
  17. Another view,,,, just not 100% sure when this picture was taken
  18. Probably not the best shot either. But it shows the tires well inside of the body
  19. All the pics I have of the 70 Cuda the tires are A - inside the body B - tucked ever so slightly inside the upper wheel lip. So,,, IMO, the tires from the Johan kit are slightly more accurate On the 1971 Cuda it seems to be more common to find it with the tires outside the body and the wheel lip above the top of the tire
  20. There is a red 1968 GTO, i see on a pretty regular basis. Last week I saw a blue 1968 Camaro, I see it out every so often But I had this one out for a little drive yesterday does that count. Customers car ,,he is coming in next week to drive it the 5 hours home.
  21. I bet it feels pretty good to know you kept it all these years doesn't it ? I've got some builtups I've had for maybe 35 years . And there isn't a snowballs chance they're going anywhere in my lifetime
  22. Just pulled the one I have and did a test fit on a partially assembled Johan Hemi from the 71 Cuda and it fits it like a glove. I have a couple of the new 1970 Cuda kits.,,but nothing assembled If I get time this week,,,,,,,,, I assemble the long block from that kit and see how well it fits and report back. Sorry,,I don't have a single one of the 1/24th scale Revell/monogram kits to ck and see how it fits those.( I try my best to stay all 1/25th scale if at all possibile to keep the dispaly case uniform,, ( ,yes I admit I am a scale snob ))
  23. Been folowing this one for a while. and don't rebember reading along the way. Are you replicatiing any particular car from the era or ????? This would look so cool in Glidden colors
  24. All I got is,,,,,WOW. And I can't wait to see how you tackle that perforated rear window.
