  1. That was a pretty neat video, I've not seen that one before. Thanks
  2. Outside of it being molded in white, I don't know if there are any differences ( besides decals )
  3. Agreed, I refused to pay some of the ebay prices on out of production kits. Example is the Polar Lights Charger funnycar. I've seen examples sell for $30 and up . Add shipping to that and it's $40 or more,,,,no thanks. I don't need them that bad ,, I already have several on hand . IF I need more(not likely ) I'll pick one or 3 up at a swap meet . Actually bought 2 at a local model contest/swap this past spring . paid $30 for the pair. Mainly because they make great parts kits / chassis doners.
  4. 99% of the buyers will be a very happy camper ( myself included )
  5. I think it's very good time to be a model builder. There are kits out now or recently that were not avail when the subject was new ( 1967 Coronet just as one example ) Do I like it ? Heck yea. But now I buy only the ones that have a chance to be built in the forseeable future . If I can't picture myself building it , I don't buy it. The ones I do buy, I usually try to buy multiples of,,,,,, as toy funds and/or the cheif financial officer allows for
  6. Just a cool looking build. Reminds me of the good old days . Cheap gas, cheap cars and even cheap girls .
  7. Ok, So who is going to be the 1st to replicate this one ?
  8. Or another good choice would be : Also from Missing link
  9. Do a google search for an article called ' Unraveling the snake pit ' It's a pretty good article on the Hawaiian Charger funny car that should give you everything you need. If you can't find it pm me with an email address and I send it to ya
  10. One of my favorite funny cars back then. Well done. If you 'want to run another set' of those decals through said alps sprinter , PM me
  11. Found it Can you tell I am really excited to see this kit come to market
  12. Or a simple decal and wheel change. I've seen another pic of this car and it has the more common six pack style hood scoop
  13. Only seperating the stock issue and typical drag race versions was the hood and usually the intake manifold. I already have a hood master done using an original MPC hood as a base, so I'll wait to see how it fits this Revell body before it procedes Plus , one could do this one with nothing but a decal change from the S+M car And I for one am certaintly hoping the aftermkt does multiple decals for the upcoming kit.
  14. AFAIK, the hockey stick stripe was only avail in black
  15. Very nice. and Well done, Even though I am not a gasser fan myself. I agree a SWC car is a must have on the shelf . And like you ,I built one as a kid, so having one today just seems like a good idea. And same here, I'll use one of the new tool Mazmanian car to do it
  16. The original issue Johan kit was the only one that was an actual Fury kit. And afaik, all sudsequent issues were a base line Belvedere hardtop body Builtup original issues are not to difficult to find , if you really need one with the Fury only side trim . You will be in it at similar costs wise compared to a resin conversion , with less headaches I just sold one maybe 6 months ago, decent builder with all the side trim intact. I think it had everything it needed to build it . Body had been painted and stripped so it was an easy resto. It barely brought $50 I have about a half dozen of the common Johan versions and decided I didn't need the Fury only one.so away it went . I've seen them on that auction site a couple times and non have brought more than $50-$60 . By the time you buy a resin body and a Johan doner kit. You will have more than $50 in it plus have to deal with the thicker resin body / glass fitment issues my 2 cents
  17. VERY nice. This very build has been on my short list to do and I was worried about the stance . After seeing this one done, worry no more. I'll bump it up the to do list. I like it
  18. Thanks, thats what I figured. I usually build to replicate the time frames when the cars were new . But at the most nothing newer than about 1974 time frame on just about everything. Once I get rolling I'll post a few pics along the way . I restore 1/1 cars for a living and at the moment I am quite busy . So model bench time is not easy to come by right now , so these will be winter projects
  19. I wonder whos car this was then ? No idea when or where I snagged the pic off the net . Something else I've noticed none havea roll bar, and almost every T-Bolt interior pic I've found they all have the back seat in them. So I assume that was required by the NHRA at the time ?
  20. different car - same interior trim
  21. All the T bolts shared the same color and trim of interior correct? only differences were auto or 4 spd Were some column auto - versus floor shift ?
  22. ps, scroll down thru this link http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,31613.0.html
  23. IMO leave it as is. Mopar chassis's were a light grey primer( in most cases ) so a silver chassis is not that far of a stretch. Another scenario is did the actual car start life as an actual silver car I'll stay tuned either way.... I did this very car using an original MPC annual ( it was before the revell kit existed ) And have been looking for a 1968 Coronet kit to do the brother Mike drove
  24. Thanks . When I get to the point I am ready to start these I post with questions ( probably a winter project ) If the weather holds out I may try to get bodies painted in the next few weeks . I have the decals to do all the cars I have listed in addition to the 2 I already have finished
