  1. ChaCha version
  2. Keep in mind the chassis between the Johan Mustang versus the MPC Mustang are very different ( if that matters to you ) Either way the Johan kits build into very nice shelf dispay pieces ( i have several of each )
  3. I have been thinking of something very similar. And am going to keep a close eye on these builds But, have to ask, how about some details on the frame work to get the cab to fit the bed
  4. Real clean builtup but dis-assembled MPC 1971 Duster kit for less than $25 delivered.
  5. This is exactly what I was thinking. I think it's kinda ugly,,but then again see above
  6. I don't think the Tri Y manifolds were ever used in a production car
  7. Thanks for the notes. I was pretty sure of the car and that it was in a model magazine back in the day ,,,just didn't know who wrote or when . I personally would love to do a full detail build of this car. As I think it was one of the best looking cars of the period . But unfortunately I don't have the time or inclination to get that carried away. I already have one built from the Polar Lights kit that I am pretty happy with. Just added a bunch of pics of the restored car I have on file. So maybe someone else can put this article to good use .
  8. I found this online several years ago and NO idea where it got it or if it's even still out there. Either way I tend to right click save just about anything and everything old drag car related. In the past I've seen several wanted posts for this article . So, i just posted it in my fuse webpages to share. Just click on the link and enjoy. If I remember right the article used the Hawaiian AA/FC . If I am wrong someone please let me know. If correct I will add the pictures I have of the restored car .( when I get a few minutes to sparee to upload them all, and I have a bunch) http://home.fuse.net/jallphin/cool-pictures/hawaiian-AAFC/
  9. First ones are max wedge only I don't have any kits with them ,,,but sure would like several sets of they are avail in the afternkt . Lindberg Dodge has headers in it I believe. 2nd ones ,,like mentioned were avail in the Johan 1964 Dodge,, don't think they were avail in the 64 Plymouth kit
  10. Only one I've ever used so far ( I do have one for a 1968 Dodge Dart project ) MCG set on a Lindberg 1964 Dodge sedan ( will upload a picture later )
  11. Very nice looking little red dodge. Well done I personally think the Polar Lights kit gets a bad rap. It's not perfect to a 1965 Dodge but it builds into a pretty decent looking shelf piece
  12. Although I never followed Formula one or indy car . I knew who Senna was and what he had accomplished in his short time. I did get to watch the documentary on his life/career a while back. To this day one of the best films I've seen yet.
  13. Based on the fact that most ( if not all ) of the new releases are kits that have never ben done. I think they're doing just fine. Keep it up and I'll keep opening my piggy bank. I actually was thinking about hitting my local hobby shop this weekend to pick up the 56 Chrysler 300B,,,just because ! I already have several of the 55's
  14. Took the words right outa my mouth
  15. AFXnScale was bought out by rdsxfan on ebay. I've bought several items for them with ZERO issues . But I do not know if they got the duster grille mold in the deal as I have not seen them selling any. I have several of the grilles I bought before the deal went down , I might consider cutting one loose but not any more than that. Try the above 1st to see if they can help. ps, just ck'd the ones I have and they have the plymouth flag emblem in them
  16. Vintage drag cars vintage muscle cars. Have really got an interest in classic cars of the 20's - early 30's era. Any occasionaly I'll look at other subjects / threads but not much Big scale or trucks does nuttin for me
  17. I like it . and same here, I have several of the big cars for the 30's to do ( someday )
  18. Given though I have touched a model in at least 6 months. I am not sure. But last I remember I have 3 or 4 on the bench in various stages and at least another 6 to 8 stalled porjects I got bored with or didn't have the parts or supplies to go forward with . I've got a Lindberg 1964 Dodge superstocker I could probably finish in a day if I put my mind to it. But with kids activities ,,,job and shop projects ( not to mention simple inclination ) there doesn't seem to be enough time to get that done
  19. I keep thinking ,,,,,,,,,,it only took nearly 50 years to get a 1965 Plymouth B body . Glad to see it finally come to light. Although I personally would rather it be a 2 door sedan . But I can work with whats given to me . 2 thumbs up to all involved to bring it to light
  20. Yep, Other than the hudson, I want MULTIPLES of each shown
  21. Did some digging about this very car a while back http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=403865&page=5
  22. non sharktooth grilles are 'almost' the same between 1970 , 1971 and 1972 , if I remember right the differences were color schemes were different Body sheetmetal is the same between 70 and 71 decklids with the peak showed up on some late 1971 cars , and I think some 1972 cars had a smooth decklid door panels are 1970 only I think seat patterns were the same between 70 and 71 but there were color differences that were model year only
