  1. 1968 Hawaiian funnycar.
  2. Yes, most if not all funnycars back then carried there own battery and used the stock starter
  3. No G70 series was ever avail on any Hemi cars. 1966-1967 used a 7.75-14 ( blue stripe in 1966 - red stripe in 1967) 1968-1969 used F70-15 and was the only tire avail on Hemi cars these years ( avail in white or red stripe ) 1970 -1971 used F70-14 as standard with F60-15 as optional in 1970 -71 ) 1971 Hemi B-bodies had the G60-15 ( not 100% sure if it was the standard tire or the optional tire over the F70-14 )
  4. Great start so far. I have the 1965 2 door hardtop to do this fall as well so I'll stay tuned . Interested in trading off the spare 4 door truck cab in the back ground ?
  5. Are you kidding, If I plan ahead I'll never get anything beyond the ' idea ' stage of things. I get more ideas from stumbling onto pictures than I do than actually trying to find pictures / ideas. Most of what I do is vintage drag cars and usually finding pictures is the easiest part of the project
  6. They ran a 1969 Dart funnycar, 1970 and 1971 Challenger , 1972 demon and I believe they also had a 1973 ish Dart bodied car PS, the 1970 and 1971 Challengers were 2 different cars, ( different grilles as well as different chassis designs )
  7. As far as I know, All hemi A bodies were black underhood, Not 100% positive but I think Hurst painted them . Reason being Hurst had to modify the pass side shock tower to make the engine fit
  8. As far as I know MCW and R+R are / were the only ones making a sedan A990 body style
  9. Resin body I assume ?
  10. I like it, kinda reminds me of a certain Beach Boys song
  11. The 2 smaller tires I have no use for . the wheels I have very little use for. But if they had done a similar 4 set pack of the just the slicks as in other tire parts pack, I would be all over them at retail. so I am less than enthused with how they're packaged. That said , anyone that buys this set and doesn't want the blue streak slicks , pm me
  12. I wish Speed City did one. I have both an MCW and a Spped City AFX Plymouth bodies. Althought the MCW versions is nice and I will definitly use it ,,,,but there is no comparison between the 2 companies. and btw, If your building the car I think your planning, don't you need a 2 door sedan ?
  13. Sweet, Friend of mine owns the 1/1 identical to it. http://www.bobmalcom.com/all%20pix/100_4634.JPG
  14. Looking at the picture of the partially boxed kits. I think thats the 1968 Color Me Gone Charger funnycar kit . I don't rememeber ever seeing a molded in blue 1968 Coronet kit
  15. Even though I do own an airbrush. I use rattle cans almost exclusively. Although I have 2 builds planned for this fall that I think I may use an airbrush on, because it's a 3 color car. And I think I can control edge lines better and less chance of color bleed thru with an airbrush
  16. Yes, Johan is the one who made the 1963 Dodge back then How much an original sells for depends on who is looking at that particular time. They seem to sell pretty regularly in the $75 to $100(or more) range for a decent builder/builtup The one I bought a few months back was under $65 I think . The 1st one I have I paid $35 for, ( but thats been a while ) You just have to be patient deals do happen. The one and only piece I have from MCW is a resin 1965 Plymouth AFX car. But it is better than the R+R 1965 AFX Dodge I have Neither of then even come close to the quality of my 1965 Plymouth AFX from Speed City Resin
  17. 3 sources I know of ( all resin) Modelhaus. MCW and Jimmy Flintstone has one now I believe. I have not had any of them in my hand so I can't speak for quality of one over the other I have 2 originals( not for sale btw ) The 1st one I've had for years. 2nd one I just got a few months back on ebay. If your patient you can get Builtups ,, they pop up on ebay a semi regular basis .
  18. Easy one, Polar lights Barracuda funnycar
  19. watched about 20 minutes of it one night, thats 20 minutes I'll never get back.
  20. Being talked about that it's a Hemi car http://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=0&Board=Test&Number=7782395&Searchpage=1&Main=7782308&Words=+gtx6970&topic=&Search=true#Post7782395
  21. Tube chassis cars didn't show up till sometime approx late 1972 or 1973 . so prior to that it would be a basically stock floorpan with maybe some aftermkt suspsension traction aids
  22. Pretty cool, I've got a couple autographed kits ( all unbuilt stuff ) I like his videos, and he sure can drive
