  1. I can open it up a take a bunch of pictures and post them in this section if anyone would like to see it . It's completely unbuilt and best I can tell, complete. But I'm afraid I can't say if it's 100% accurate or not . the Alfa will be the 1st one started of this lot, and the H.S . K6 will probably be one of the last
  2. Even though I do have an airbrush, I have not used it in years. Once I found out I could Duplicolor rattle cans, it's what I use almost exclusively. with a Upol rattle can urethane clear, also rattle can
  3. Couldn't tell ya. I haven't paid over $25 for any one model shown I've purchased to date. most of them have been less than $20
  4. Keep all the info coming. I am still picking up kits for the stash , as the toy fund allows . Here is what I've managed to get so far.
  5. IMO. When the builder can get paid regularly , profitably and has a waiting list then and only then can he be refered to as a ' Professional builder' otherwise it's an ego stroke +/or an attemp to get more money out of the un-informend
  6. VERY nice. I really like the interior treatment. I have one of the Nepoleon coupes to do myself
  7. I would so like to raid your stash I've been casually looking for some old 1959 annuals and a rag top buick is WAY up near the top
  8. VERY cool. I assume this is the car in the Garlits Museum ? Last few times I've been in there the body was down or it was parked in an area pics like this are not possibile. So many thanks for posting these.
  9. Lookin good,,,, I've got several of the old metal axle kits myself.
  10. 10 years is not a stretch for me. I have several that are at least that old. But thats changing. Actually, I just finished one that was started about 12 years . I have maybe 3 or 4 more I want done this year and they are all started over 10 years back. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=75209 Few more are ( both started well over ten years ago ) MPC Barracuda with a modified Revell Dart chassis under it . Initially it was going to be a Sox and Martin or the Mule Cuda build Then a Mr Norms 73 Charger AA/FC
  11. My retracatable X acto cutter pen. Works perfect for gliding along to cut BMF wih ease
  12. There will be dozens of cars come and go in your lifetime,,,,,,, but only 1 first. Enjoy it and the good times it provides
  13. I've got his early Dodge crew cab truck , I have no complaints. Once paid I had in it in my hands in maybe 2 weeks tops
  14. Plus ad in Johan bodies are the ones by which most others are measured against. For an example take an AMT 1969 GTX - compare it to a Johan 1969 GTX, there is no comparison. Johan wins hands down IMO
  15. PCV location depends on year. 1968- 1969 Big blocks are on the pass side and towards the rear of the engine
  16. Yes, considerable difference
  17. How about some old school versions Oops , Real old school
  18. Any chance you are doing the six barrel hood for the A12 1969 Roadrunner ? I have one , along with a couple of the funnycar bodies,, and so far so good .
  19. My ebay purchase showed up. And REALLY happy with it . AMT 1971 Charger .
  20. Looks like dealer promotionals worth decent money if you want to flip them , how much $ depends on condition
  21. Most buyers think it should be. Then add on Ebay and Paypal's constantly rising fees involved . Then the positive feedback only that a seller can leave has turned me against ebay as a seller in a big way. Ebay is all for protecting the buyer only and wants nothing from the seller 'except his sellers fees ' and has been for some time. What I found amusing was shortly after Ebay's purchase of Paypal . All sellers were forced to offer / accept some form of online payment required was initiated . Oddly enough, they recomend Paypal Heard any stories from sellers latetly that an arbitration case was found in there favor ?
  22. Cool. And that was fast.
  23. Thanks all. I really appreciate it . It started out as one of the Poloar Lights pearl white snap kits. I added the Hemi heads and crossram intake from the parts box ( I think it's Johan pieces) With the hood scoop i think is from the Lindberg 64 Dodge . Paint is a chrysler light gold from a Duplicolor rattle can with a rattle can urethane clear. Interior is dark primer base with a Tamaya Champange gold top coat , with silver and black accents . A MAD pre-wired dist and called it done
  24. So glad this one is finally off the workbench . Waht started of to be a simple wekend build turned into a major pain in the @&%$ . Painted and stripped , twice. The 2 layer decals the registration was off ever so slightly, causing there own issues . Even now the body has crazing in the plastic under the paint that didn't show till it was decaled and cleared. At that point I just wanted it done and in the case so I could move on. Nothing special details wise but a MAD pre-wired dist I'll add some more pictures over the weekend.
