  1. I remember seeing the Goldenrod a few years back on a show car circuit tour . I looked pretty cool , but wow was it long. And I agree, Unfortunately recreating the driveline / powertrain would be tough in 1/25th scale .
  2. Having met a few of the people who build and compete at this level, I commend them . And , I can assure you . There are probably subtle things on this car ( as in years past winners ) That 99% of the average people will never catch unless you sit and stare at it for hours . Even then I doubt any one person would catch it all. The ONLY thing I don't care for is the screw clamps on the hoses. I just don't think the overall quality of the car goes hand in hand with cheap screw hose clamps . If they were trying to re-create the flavor / style of something old, the rest of the car is WAY to good for that. Overall I like it and would gladly park it in my garage , and I have zero interest in street rods .
  3. Curious, Why do you say incorrect.? the Dodge trucks WERE avail with both a 400 B engine as well as a 440 RB up till approx 1977 ( maybe 1978 )
  4. I have a builtup of the 72-73 long bed truck if anyone wants pictures
  5. I've watched it a couple times and I am simply amazed by it. All of that was done without computer control. Makes me wonder,,,,how?
  6. Ck with Sean aka member Member sstacey47 http://i1184.photobucket.com/albums/z321/sstacey47/DSC05531.jpg
  7. Missing Link has a 1972 style grille and bumpers (ft and rear ) I just got a set a few weeks back I've seen the decals on ebay a few times But, And I think Slixx now has the decals to do this car as well as Wally Booths 1969 Camaro
  8. For your viewing enjoyment , but what is it ? I am thinking Oldsmobile or Pontiac or ????? http://www.dump.com/assemblyline/
  9. Already thought about the firefighter mustang2, but it's my understanding one is coil over susp and the other is leaf spring , just don't remember which one is which (might still go this way regardless just for simplicity ,,and just not turn it over ) To the op I saw the in process pics and I REALLY want to do this car, only I am leaning more towards the other paint scheme this car ran under.
  10. Ditto , Please ? I've really got on a pre-war classics era kick lately
  11. Sweet, I so want to do one of these. Bad. It's coming up with the chassis seems to be the hard part. I keep thinking about attempting my 1st scratch build to do it. Already have a conversion 72 bumpers and grille
  12. Seen em, and PM replied. Bill
  13. Anyone make them in a quality resin ? I need a few sets and would rather not buy kits to just get the seats( already have a LRW done)
  14. Thats a huge understatement. WOW , thats the best I can come up with.
  15. I'll see what I have on file. - print and digital
  16. Never seen one , probably because thats one ugly car. Not to mention it would take some serious scratch building skills to make one. http://www.imperialclub.com/Articles/TurboFlite/61Turboflite.jpg
  17. All 1955 Chrysler 300's were 331 Hemi with a 2 speed power flite trans . I am going to need an early Hemi for a Funnycar build so I may have to do some comparisions to see which one is best. I have the 55 and 57 chryslers as well as the miss deal car to do some camparisons
  18. Thanks fellas. I have been on a prewar car buying spree this year and I have this one on my want to do someday list. I have a 1932 Chrysler Roadster , a 1933 Chrysler Imperial, a 1932 Cadillac and a Heller Hispano Suiza kit still on the lookout for a Packard, Rolls Royce and a Duesenberg. maybe even a Stutz
  19. The yellow boxed car in the gangbusters version, is it - or can it be built stock ? I keep seeing bullitt laden body comments.
  20. Thanks for this info A buddy of mine has a 1/1 1965 Falcon and I have been thinking about building him one in scale. Looking at the prices for these kits, and watching sale prices of a few builtup original AMT kits, I am leaning toward the old stuff because prices seem to be very comparitive
  21. A sealed 1965 Hemi Under Glass kit, only to find out it DOESN'T have Hurst wheels in it Thankfully my parts box did.
  22. I believe so . and there have been numerous variations of this kit released over the years. with different options, different wheels etc etc . IMO, the most recent version shown yellow on the box is the worst of the lot. the tooling is showing it's age
  23. I get a lot of - this page is under construction any more planned besides the Ramchargers car.? Might I make a suggestion?
  24. Probably has more to do with costs. 1 piece design = less material . means cheaper to tool up + to manufacturer = a small costs savings per kit. Might be only a few pennies per kit, but figure that over hundreds of thousands of kits and the costs add up pretty quick
