  1. at approx 5 miles per gal, and a mix of race gas with premium, THAT would be a very expensive day . I do plan to drive it quite a bit. Im not sure it will be quite THAT much
  2. I just bought a 1966 Plymouth Satellite , 2 door hardtop. 426 hemi, console auto. 3.54 Dana rear axle Real Hemi car in its original color combination of black with red interior . Which is my dream color combination bar none. It belonged to a very good, and long time friend of mine. He bought it as a rolling project in 1998 , He already had a correct dated Hemi for the car . It was restored over the following few years and was completed in 2004-2005 time frame. I actually helped restore the car and asked him many years ago if it ever went up for sale, PLEASE let me have a shot at it . When he called last year to honer that. I was flabbergasted to say the least . And its taken me the better part of the past 10-12 months to get in a position to make this kind of purchase. ( Its took some serious schmoozing of the wife to give her ok ) Needless to say this one turned my piggy bank inside out Its had a whopping 800 miles put on it since it was completed . All OEM sheet metal car, never any rust or accidents. Passport Transport picks it up tomorrow morning. Should be here in about a week ,,,plus or minus a few days one way or the other
  3. This is what I want to replicate. I dont need absolute dead on perfect just as close as I can reasonably get
  4. I need it to replicate a 1968 belvedere bench seat. Want to convert the revell gtx to a baseline Belvedere RO race hemi car
  5. The one in the lower right hand corner in this picture
  6. Im guessing 57 Chevy based on the hood ornaments
  7. I seem to remember many years the same thing was said about a 55 or 56 Chrysler 300. same goes for a 1965 Satellite. I would love to have a 55-56 Mercury, but I'm not holding my breath for it either Maybe just MAYBE a 68 Coronet or 71-72 Demon will materialize one day
  8. Need address. I have a hood. Custom grill and tail gate for the stepside bed version
  9. Steve. I converted a revell 69 dart into a 68 (before the 68 kit came out) several years back using the aluminum tubing trick. Works like a charm. Just glued the tubing in place and once the car was painted i polished the aluminum tube to look like chrome. Lenses are just elmers glue in the tube and painted with testors clear red.
  10. I think i have a hood for one of these. Will ck
  11. Where do I sign up
  12. OK, I will ck later this week to see if I have one or not
  13. I was in the one near me yesterday and same deal... ..just NOTHING i felt i had to take home.
  14. Look for this set https://www.ebay.com/p/2255308946
  15. Hard for.me to say. I like quite a few. But...to play along i would say the Revell Thunderbolt.
  16. Give me a day to ck. But. I might have extra ft and rear chome for a 1961 Ford Galaxie if you need it
  17. About your only choice is the 55-56 Chrysler 300 keep in mind the seat pattern will be different. Im not sure if there was ever an interior in those kits
  18. Ive always been under the assumption the 1st Grumpys Vega built was stock floor pan and front suspension from the back of the doors forward. basically only the rear suspension was heavily modified / scratchbuilt
  19. water pump style is different, as well as intake , exhaust manifolds and valve covers. Again just depends on how accurate Steve intends to get
  20. keep on mind the underbody from a 71 Duster has some differences than a 1966 Bcuda. Primarily front suspension differences and Im pretty sure the 66 was never avail with dual exhaust Same goes for the 70-71 small block compared to the 66 small block as well .
  21. Correct, and as far as I know the car has been repaired
  22. I wish you could some resin caster to copy these. I would take 2 sets pronto
  23. Nice project so far. When I did my 68 Dart. I drilled holes in the body where the side markers are supposed to be . Inserted a small diam aluminum tube. . Once the body was painted , I polished the edges of the tube that was visible and filled the center with epoxy and topped it off with the Testors clear amber paint
  24. Yes please. I have maybe 1 of the Ford trucks. The 72 version with no plans to buy any of the others Odds are will not be buying a GM truck IF they make one. But will buy SEVERAL if they make a late 60s to very early 70s Dodge truck kits
  25. Nope, But I have to admit worth every penny. I bought 3 of them earlier this spring . Plan to buy at least 2 ,,,maybe 3 more. The ones I bought had no panels to make individual spaces on each shelf
