  1. Whoa, nellie. Im not an expert. Just a Mopar fanatic that's been around Mopar Muscle cars pretty much my entire life. Edit, I'll add here. B9 wasn't a listed avail color on B body cars. But I'm not saying that particular paint color wasn't avail on a B-body. MOPAR did have a special order paint color program but it would carry a 999 paint code . And a friend of mine is well versed on Charger 500's and I dont remember him ever mentioning a 999 paint code car
  2. B9 ? on a b-body ? !st Ive ever heard of that one. Probably B7 , the Bee across the street is most likely R4
  3. I hate to say this aloud. But the Scout kit is kinda cool. is that El Camino a 1964 or 65 ?
  4. For me, first and foremost. I am a Mopar guy. so they rule my display cabinet, followed extremely close by vintage drag cars. Even better if its a vintage Mopar drag car Occasionally I build outside those 2 genres, but to be honest its not much Although I haven't touched a model in probably 6 months and odds are it'll be another 6 before I can think about it.
  5. All the time. One of the reasons I enjoy the old annuals. A lot of them don't have an opening hood so there's no engine to worry about anyway The older I've got the less important super detail builds have become. I build for me
  6. yes kinda maybe sorta . Box is kind of neat. Not sure I would pay extra for it. And regardless of box this kit is all over ebay , but by the time postage is figured in. puts it at $35 and up. I dont want it that bad . Im more a $20-25 range and less kid of guy
  7. Now this is one I actually would like to have
  8. Nice work, Love the rainbow Cuda
  9. Dude, You need to quit posting pics of 1/1 cars and claiming them to be models WOW,
  10. Agreed, Ive already filled maybe a half dozen with unbuilts putting some not so expensive builders on top in the boxes as filler .
  11. IF it is fact 1.25th.I want a couple of them . Anything else I 'might' get one. but not likely
  12. DAAAAAAM nice looking car. my all time favorite color combination to
  13. I have a few of the 500 kits as well as several of the MPC Daytona kits ( they grill is on same chrome tree ) So Im good But I will have to ck and see if I have an extra/spare hood ( not likely )
  14. If they did I cant find any reference to them offering one . Ive been searching for days and the only one I come up with is Reliable resin and I am not going there
  15. No, Nothing body panel is the same between the 2 bodies Fremont resin makes stretched wheelbase 67 Vette, but its a fastback. I'm thinking I may buy one of them and cut the top off and add the rear deck off a roadster or make my own from a 63 roadster back half and the 67 fastback front half. decisions decisions
  16. Depends on how good your skills are. IMO the easiest to locate route would be take a LA Dart kit, cut the front end off it and graft it to a AMT 1971 Duster. Hardest part would be making the tail lights or just buy one of several resin bodies avail out there
  17. All the time. Thats how I end up with multiples of some of the early annuals I have . After buying a second ( or a third ) I finally decided to make up an excel list in the computer. Of what I have, when I bought it, costs and what parts if any are needed. Age tends to play with ones mind when I get to a show and see a part ' I THINK ' I need. Recently a kit on eBay caught my eye and I thought I wouldn't mind having one . So I put it in my watch list. Then a couple days later was rummaging around the model bench storage area. Low and behold found out I already had that kit. Huh, lucky me . It was Heller kit of a Citreon something (early 30s car )
  18. Unknown by me. Ive looked off an on the past few weeks and found nothing except reliable resin and I'm a NOT going there for any reason. At this point I think I am just going to make my own . So we shall see what I end up with ,,,good or bad
  19. Mine is a convertible
  20. Sweet, I bought a 56 kit simply because I saw one of your builds. And I had ZERO plans to build of them ,,until then you must buy black paint by the gallon. Are these rattle cans or airbrush
  21. That is simply to cool for words. ( pun intended btw ) My wife is in Tucson this week and shes says its quite hot. ( low 100s ) Has Phoenix hit the teens yet temps wise
  22. Just 100 . Rookie . I probably have at least 5-600 range , maybe closer to 700. So i dont NEED anything About the only current kit on my radar is the Dyno Don cougar. Otherwise I want to avoid adding to the pile if I can with current kits.
  23. Looks great for a quick and easy few hours at the bench thee freshened up interior looks SO much better. it makes the paint that much nicer If I may suggest , run your silver sharpie along the drip rails and call it done If you want to throw a charger 500 grill in it to mach the rear glass , I might have a spare I can send you
  24. What I'm thinking I'll do is exactly whats mentioned above. But I think I will leave the front fender humps alone. I can see them being a ROYAL PIA to make right . I'll have some free time once our house is done and listed. At least maybe a little bit . But once it sells it'll be months,,maybe even a year or more before I get to do any modeling And I have a couple nearly complete builds I want to finish up simply to make them easier to pack and travel across country. If I get them done, I'll work on this Vette body. I'm planning to use a modified Polar lights chassis under it And btw, Ive looked thru all my vintage magazines and don't have anything detail wise for either one of these cars. I did find a cut away picture of the Don Kirby car but it doesn't specify the wheelbase
  25. I have thought about this for the more delicate built cars. This way I dont have to worry about them so much . Ive bought a couple hundred of the baseball card boxes to pack them in once Ive wrapped with tissue paper I think the more common unbuilts and both common and vintage re-builders can travel in the U haul box truck ( top freight only )
